Q:Missionary medical insurance Dear Outreach Insurance, We want to buy some insurance for our staff who is going outside the country. My question is that two of our fellows are going to Burundi and Kenya in Africa, but in the insurance form there appear only a country request from your side. We need to know if the insurance will cover for both countries at the same time, even when we are informing that the person is going to Burundi (because there aren’t two countries pick selection). Would you be so kind to informs us how we have to set the insurance form in order to receive both countries coverage. I look forward to seeing your answer ASAP. Thanks for your attention

A:
If the person is US citizen, it will cover anywhere outside the US. I understand that it is asking for 'Primary Destination' but that does not mean you can only go to one country. 'Primary Destination' means the country where you will spend most of your time. You can purchase it online at /missionary-health-insurance/

Q:Blue cross application I have a question. I have a collapsed disc, herniated discs, bone spurs and arthritis in my back. Would my entire back be eliminated and if so, would I qualify to go into a type of high risk pool and how much more would that be for my policy? I'm applying for the Select Choice Plan III Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also have a deviated septum. Right now I'm still covered under my group insurance.

A:
Such questions can be answered for sure only after you submit the application with all your medical details and it goes through underwriting. That is exactly what the medical underwriting does. You are welcome to apply online at /short-term-health-insurance/ If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me at any time. Thanks, I'm in the process of completing my application now. If one is accepted into a high risk pool, do you know if the coverage would be the same as the actual policy I'm applying for or would they give me a different policy with different features? Again, that can be determined only once the underwriting is complete. Before you commit to anything, you will be given a choice regarding what you are getting at what price. If you choose to accept it, good. If not, that's fine too.

Q:Global Medical Insurance My father travels to the US and rents a property in Tucson for 4-6 weeks per year. Unfortunately his annual travel insurance coverage in Australia have recently alterred their conditions and have decided not to renew his coverage for a pre-existing medical condition - heart disease. I have noticed that all travel insurance on your site states that they wont cover any pre-existing conditions. However, I also noticed that Global Medical Insurance does cover for pre-existing if you take out Platinum coverage. Did I read this correctly? Also, as this is quite an expensive annual coverage for something that is only required for 4-6 weeks per year, is there ways of short-term coverage on this? Or alternatively, probably against the rules, however can the policy be taken out under the monthly plan and then cancelled after 2 months? I really hope you can give me some favorable responses as my father is travelling your way in the next 2 days and no doubt would like to well into the future. His history is that he had a stent installed 10 years ago for angina. His last episode of angina was over 2.5 years ago, symptom free since then with his GP signing off on him being fit to travel with no expectations of concerns.

A:
You can look at GMI Platinum at /expatriate-health-insurance/ It is not meant to be 2 months coverage. It is annually renewable major medical plan. It covers pre-existing conditions just like any other condition, if disclosed on application and not excluded/restricted by rider. But I have never seen anything not excluded/restricted by rider. For short term travel, I recommend you look at /atlasamerica-insurance/ It provides the coverage for $15,000 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions. For new conditions, you can choose from $50,000 to $1,000,000. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

Q:Patriot America vs Patriot GoTravel America visitor medical insurance Hello, I have one more question. Between Patriot Go travel and Patriot America what is the main difference. (My mom has currently has inbound usa till March 15th 2009. She came on Sep 15 2008. )

A:
Patriot Go Travel does not cover emergency medical evacuation, repatriation of remains, loss of checked luggage and injury to teeth in an accident. Those are all covered in Patriot America. I just had a customer from San Diego, CA who took his parents to Yosemite National Park where he had car accident. His father needed to be evacuated to major city by helicopter and the cost was around $22,000. Unfortunately, he had purchased Patriot GoTravel and it didn't cover that part but covered other medical expenses. Therefore, I recommend that, among the two, you choose Patriot America. Few dollars that you pay more are really worth it. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
