Q:I'm writing to consult the rates of Atlas America for J1 and J2 holders. I know if I buy the insurance for my family, the child's fee can be free. But when I got the quote, there is only a total fee where I cannot see the specific fee for me and my husband, so I do not know whether my child is truly free or not. And I need to have the proof that the child is free so that I can reimburse the fee for me and my husband.

A:
Atlas America is a family friendly plan. So if one parent insured child under 9yrs will get insurance at no cost. If you get the quote is total premium for you and your husband. You will not pay anything for the child so when you file reimbursement that is only for you and your spouse. You can look at the per day rate in the brochure here. If you send us your age, spouse age, start date, end date, policy max and deductible that you are looking for we can send you quote separately means how much you pay for your husband and for you.

Q:General Coverage Questions I'm looking into getting insurance for my mom and I'm hoping you can clarify a few things for me: 1. With comprehensive coverage (Patriot America Plus, Liaison Continent A) -- does this cover mammography? What is the "preventive screening" coverage? 2. I'll probably paying and renewing the insurance month to month. If, for example I start of with Liaison Continent A, then when it expires, I decide to go to Patriot America Plus, how does that work? What is the process? 3. Does comprehensive coverage covers the entire US and then travels (except for restricted countries listed)? 4. If the application had breast cancer before and has been in remission for about 8 years, I understand that no longer qualifies as a pre-existing condition, right? I'd greatly appreciate your prompt response.

A:
1. Mammography would not be covered as the plan does not cover preventative care as this considered to be a preventative service which would not be covered under the policy. Preventative Screening is any service that is done such as a routine checkup or a women’s annual that should typically be done in the home country. 2. Once a plan is active is it recommended to continue with that plan throughout the duration of the stay. As purchasing a new plan would be new and anything that happens before the effective date of the new policy would not be covered to include any injured or illness that may have occurred under your previous policy. 3. Yes, the plans will cover anywhere outside of the home country or country of citizenship and during travel. 4. This would still be considered a pre-existing condition the plans have specific exclusions for cancer. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact our office. Thank you for your response. I just have a few follow up questions -- 1. Do you have a recommended insurance plan which will cover preventive exams? 2. What coverage is available for cancer? Please advise. Thank you for contacting Insubuy. Unfortunately, there are no plans on the market for a visitor to cover any pre-existing conditions or preventative care. If a non U.S. resident or citizen wishes to receive any treatment for a pre-existing condition or have preventative checkups this is an expense that would be solely out of pocket. If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact our office. Please review the link to a helpful FAQ that may assist with any unanswered questions. Q:Visitors insurance for parents coming to California My parents are visiting me in California this year from India for around 6 months. My father is 73 years old and my mother is 69 years old. My father has preexisting conditions such as blood pressure and diabetes. What insurance do you recommend for them and what are the premiums?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. We are a broker and offer all of the major plans on the market. These plans are designed to cover only any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. They will not cover pre-existing conditions, routine doctors’ visits, immunizations, or medications which are in relation to a pre-existing condition. There are two different types of plans either fixed or comprehensive. The fixed plans are less expensive, and will pay a fixed amount as per the schedule of benefits. The comprehensive plans which would recommend will pay a percentage of the cost after your deductible amount. In order to recommend the appropriate plan we will need more information. Can you please state your parents visa status, and also the dates you would the coverage to start and end? You may also obtain a quote by contacting our office at (866) 467-8289. If you have any additional questions please let us know. Vistors Insurance: /visitor-insurance/ Thanks for the prompt response. The coverage start date is 9th April 2016 and end date is 2nd Oct 2016. My parents are coming to the US on a visitor visa. Thank you for sending the requested information. We have emailed you a separate quote for each parent. For your Mother we would recommend the Atlas America, and for your Father we would recommend the Patriot America. You may review the plans using the quote or by using the links below.
