Q:I want to buy a suitable insurance to cover the requirement of my university (UCSB). In fact I have tried two insurances both of which cannot meet the requirements, so I have cancelled them. Could you give me suggestions on how to meet the following requirements: 1. $100,000 per accident & illness in medical coverage 2. Deductible cannot exceed $500 per accident or illness 3. Coinsurance that does not exceed 25% 4. Medical evacuation coverage must be at least $50,000 5. Repatriation coverage must be at least $25,000 6. Pre-existing conditions must be a covered benefit. The waiting period for benefit coverage cannot exceed 12 months 7. Carrier must be at least A- rated or backed by the full faith and credit of the Exchange Visitor's government
Q:I am a US green card holder and am looking to purchase international travel insurance to apply for a Schengen visa entering from France. Per guidance on the France Consulate below "Please check carefully whether your medical insurance will pay directly the providers in the Schengen countries for emergency medical expenses, emergency hospitalization and repatriation for medical reasons or death. We invite you to have a letter from your insurer indicating that payments will be made directly to the provider (Schengen States or worldwide)." Can you please confirm that in the insurance letter you provide it will specifically state that the insurance will pay directly to the providers in the Schengen countries?
