Q:Protection America purchase question I am a visitor from India in USA. I have already arrived here about a month and half back. I need to a health insurance here. I have gone through your web site. I found that Protection America IMG plan is the recommended one. I shall be here for up to Nov., 2008. Can I buy the health insurance plan now?

A:
Whether you can buy Protection America now or not depends upon how old you are and whether you had any prior insurance in US. Please call us at (866) INSU-BUY. I am 39 years old. And I do not have prior insurance in US. At present, I am in massachusetts. I hope that yours insurance will be applicable here as well. I have a medical insurance fron India. It does not cover out patient services. I do not know how it will behave in case of medical illness after going thru the postings at your web site. Yes, you are eligible to purchase Protection America.

Q:Visitors medical insurance for my mother I have 3 seperate questions in regards to my mother an Indian citizen travelling to California to visit me. 1. My mother is leaving India to the US on the 16th. If I take the Protection America insurance, will the insurance cover from the time of departure in India i.e does the coverage include the air travel and any medical issues that arise on the plane 2. My mother is diabetic and we need to get blood tests done once in 3 months when she is here. Is there any way this can be covered as you said earlier that preexisting condition cannot be covered 3. Do you have any other insurance that will cover preexisting condition 4. If I take the insurance for one year, is there any discount on the premium

If I take the Protection America insurance, will the insurance cover from the time of departure in India i.e does the coverage include the air travel and any medical issues that arise on the plane? >>> Yes, if you make the effective date 15th. 2. My mother is diabetic and we need to get blood tests done once in 3 months when she is here. Is there any way this can be covered as you said earlier that pre-existing condition cannot be covered? >>>> No. 3. Do you have any other insurance that will cover pre-existing condition? >>>> No such plan exists anywhere in the market. 4. If I take the insurance for one year, is there any discount on the premium? >>>> Yes and No. No matter for how long you purchase Protection America, total price remains the same. In short term plans, buying and paying is one and same thing. If you are willing to pay for at least 3 months upfront, you can go with Patriot America which has same coverage but cheaper. You can think of discount that way. /patriot-america-lite-insurance/ .

Q:Visitors medical insurance to USA Hi, I got your address from the immihelp site and am interested in buying visitors health insurance for my parents. My parents are born in 1940 & they usually visit USA for 6 months. I would appreciate if you can send me quotes with both patriot & protection america (coverage $100,000/person). Travel dates May 5, 2008-Nov2, 2008. Also do I need to buy a separate dental insurance for them, my understanding after reading through the experience section in immihelp is that careington might be a better option. Both parents don't have any pre-existing health conditions. Thanks,

Q:Patriot America medical insurance questions Hi, I've a quick question. Me and my wife are indian citizens , however our 5 month old son is US citizen. We have to fly back to US and we need a medical insurance for a couple of months(say3 months) before we zero in to a different long term insurance. Please advise what kind of plan we should opt for. As i did some research on your website, i found the Patriot America appears to be good for us. But since my son is US citizen, do we need to apply separately for him as i found some "Liason" medical plans for US citizens. please advise. Thanks & Regards

A:
You can buy Patriot America Plus for yourself and your wife. You son can have the Patriot America Plus plan as well, but would need to have his own policy since he is a USC
