Q:I am visiting the US from UK 10/15/19 to 12/30/19. Looking to purchase Patriot America Plus, but looking for $100,000 cover. I am aged 79 with current clear health check. Is this possible, if not, what can you recommend? I will be traveling on a green card.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The Patriot America Plus would be a fine option for you, but the policy max will be $50,000 since that is the highest for a 79 year old. You can see the available plans in this section of our website

Q:I have just started at Loyola Marymount University in CA as an international grad student and I am looking for a health insurance policy that will be 'comparable' to the university's one as I think theirs is excessively expensive. I'm originally from the UK, I have an active lifestyle and wish to play for the university's rugby club (amateur) while I'm here. I also have no pre-existing health conditions. I've attached some details below for what the school's policy includes and also what USA rugby union's membership accident insurance covers. A policy doesn't have to match what the school offers but must be at least 'comparable.'

A:
There are no plans available based on the requirements as you require a plan which is Affordable Care Act compliant. We would recommend purchasing through your University.

Q:I'm planning to apply for an F-1 student visa to the US soon. One of the admissions requirements is to have a health insurance plan and for that, I'm considering Insubuy. Now if I choose a plan and pay online, how do I receive the health insurance plan? Is it a health card sent to me via courier or papers sent via email? In any case, how long does it take to receive the health insurance plan? Also, can I have the start date of the policy to take place on the same day when my school starts (May 18, 2020)? Kindly advise.

A:
Most plans will provide virtual documents in an email within 30 minutes of your purchase. Depending upon the plan you will also receive e physical ID card in the mail via USPS. Plans can start from your requested effective date.

Q:My wife and myself are Indian citizens and reside in India. Our children are also Indian residents, but they are also United States citizens. Is there an option where we could all be under the same plan?

A:
As they are U.S. citizens the available plans are Patriot America and Patriot America Plus. The only difference between these plans is the Acute Onset of pre-existing coverage the Patriot America Plus plan offers for those under the age of 70 that the Patriot America plan does not. Other than that they are the same plan, it would really depend on if there is a concern for pre-existing conditions.

Q:I would like to know whether my health insurance Atlas America will cover the cost of medicines purchased from pharmacy. If it is so, showing id card in the pharmacy will be ok for getting free pharmacy medicine coverage?

A:
Medications are paid for out of pocket and then you can file a claim for reimbursement. The plan does cover medication related to the new accident and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy.
