Q:Hello! We are looking to book a trip for our extended family (7 adults 6 kids) to Mexico in November. Due to changing guidelines for countries I am concerned that we could lose out on hotel costs etc if something comes up bc of a COVID-19. Like Mexico closes its borders or we aren't allowed to travel internationally from the US. I would like to get a quote that would help give us that peace of mind that if something like that came up we wouldn't be responsible for all those costs. Can you guide me to a plan that would include that? And possible medical coverage? Thanks!

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are a few plans that will allow for such coverage under the Cancel for Any Reason Benefit, but they must be purchased within a certain number of days from the initial trip deposit to be eligible for the benefit. You may view and quote our Trip Insurance plans here. Should you need additional assistance regarding this you may call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:I want to insure my visiting mum who is 83 years old but healthy with no preexisting conditions whats the cheapest option. And will it cover Covid 19?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are a number of plans available that will include coverage for COVID-19 the same as any other new illness or injury. You may view and quote the plans here. Keep in mind the plans available on the market for someone on a visitor visa will exclude the coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:We have green card and we visit US roughly 6 months in a year but not consecutive 6 months. For example Jan-Mar and then again Jun-Aug and Nov- Jan. We have a firm in India and we work and pay taxes in India. During our stay in US we work but get paid in India. Are we eligible for visitor insurance.

A:
We have plans for green card holders temporarily visiting the U.S. whose principle residence is outside of the U.S. We would recommend the following plan: /patriot-america-plus-insurance/ This plan is a comprehensive plan, can cover during travel, and provide benefits for Covid-19 as well. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:Dear all,I am working in US and I have a H1B visa. My current medical insurance is not covering repatriation of remains or medical evacuation. Is there a plan that provides only these coverages? I saw a coverage for repatriation of remains and medical evacuation for J1 visa holders but not for H1B visa holders. Thanks in advance.

A:
You can purchase the Atlas Med Evac plan, however, medical evacuation and repatriation are not required benefits for an H1 visa holder. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hello,I'm hoping to purchase travel insurance that will cover me in Costa Rica, but to get into the country, the policy needs to cover specific things. I'm having a hard time finding an insurance that would cover extended lodging or expenses needed for quarantine. Here's the exact wording: "National insurances meet all the requirements to have coverage of medical expenses for illness, including COVID-19, for a minimum amount of 20,000 and coverage for extended lodging expenses or quarantine, due to pandemic illness, for a minimum amount of 2,000."Do any of your policies cover this? Let me know. Thanks!

A:
