Q:Atlas America filing an appeal Hi I was a visitor to the US and had an Atlas America policy. During my visit I fell terribly sick with upper GI Bleed, vomiting blood detected as Esophageal Varices. I was admitted in the emergency and after the hospital filed the bill etc with HCCMIS they took quite some time and finally denied the entire payment citing Pre-existing condition. Thanks Ravichandar Krishna******

Q:Insurance Claim denied - HCC Hi, I bought travel insurance through your website when my mother visited us here in the US. During her stay, i had to take her to urgent care for knee pain. The urgent care billed the insurance company directly, but later i was informed that the insurance company had denied the claim because they are requesting information from me directly. (I dont understand why i have to file the claim personally when the service provider was in PPO network). Now, i have been trying to contact the insurance company directly and all i get is a waiting line which can goes on until an hour without anyone responding. I have tried calling them many times now, and appreciate if you guys can help me with my insurance claim. Insurance Plan - Atlas America Let me know if you need any more information. Regards Mohammed

A:
From what you have written, it does not look your claim is denied but it is pending for more information. Even though you went to the provider in the PPO network and they billed directly, you still have to fill the claimant statement. Please read /what-is-visitors-insurance/ for further information. Please download the form from /travel-and-student-insurance-claims/claimants-statement-and-authorization-form.pdf, complete it and send it to the address given in that form. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Q:Insurance for dependant I am currently enrolled to a college(F-1 Student) but don't have a insurance at this moment. My wife(F-2 Visa) arrived here 2 months ago, now we are looking for an insurance plan for our protection. We are planning to have a baby sometime next year, and looking for a plan that can cover child birth. Please recommend a plan that can cover our health care and for the future baby. Thank you.

A:
Your dependents can purchase student insurance only if you are enrolled them in it too. Please look at /international-student-medical-insurance/ I have been looking through the search results, but can't really find the benefits on pregnancy. Please call our office at (866) INSU-BUY.
