Q:I want to buy health insurance for my parents. Their nationality is Indian and age is 63 and 57 respectively. I checked your insurance quote online. I have following questions: 1) Do you cover Maryland residents? 2) In policy coverage, are cardiac diseases and conditions included? 3) Is any emergency condition included for policy?

A:
Please see the answers to your questions below. 1. There are policies that are available to offer coverage in the state of Maryland to visitors not residents. Please see the links listed below for the available plan options. Atlas America brochure & instant purchase link (This plan must be purchased before arrival) Safe Travel USA Cost Saver brochure & instant purchase link 2. Plans will cover the new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. Q:I will be traveling to the United States (Chicago, IL) from Budapest, Hungary, on June 18.2016 and returning from Chicago to Budapest on July 7th. 2016. So my length of stay is June 18 - July 8. The home institution I'll be residing at, has the following criteria for acceptable insurance: Northwestern University insurance requirements Health insurance must, at a minimum, meet the following requirements: - Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness - Coverage for repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000 (does not apply to B1 visa holders) - $50,000 for expenses associated with medical evacuation - Deductible not to exceed $250 per accident or illness - Co-insurance provision can be no greater than 25% - Out-of-pocket expenses not to exceed $2,000 per year - Pre-existing conditions must be covered (no exclusions, no waiting period) - Mental health - Shall not unreasonably exclude coverage for perils inherent to the activities of the program in which the exchange visitor participates - Must include inpatient and outpatient coverage for both sickness and accident - Will cover at least 80% of usual and customary charges in the Chicago area - Shall provide benefits for prescription drugs, and pregnancy. Please let me know if you have a plan that can cover all of the above mentioned requirements. (I am 27 years old, Hungarian citizen, no pre-existing condition.)

A:
Unfortunately, since one requirement is that pre-existing conditions must be covered with no exclusions or waiting period then we would not have a plan to meet all requirements. You may have to contact the University to see if they offer a plan. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I Mom and Sister are Indian citizens visiting united states for 6 months. Mom is 66 years old and has Arthritis. Sister is 30 years old and has Type 1 Diabetes. They will only be travelling if their conditions are completely under control. I'm anticipating both of them may likely require an outpatient visit given their conditions. Do any of the insurance plans you sell cover outpatient costs for pre-existing conditions ?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. However there are no plans on the market that will cover the cost of outpatient (routine) visits for pre-existing conditions. This is not a service that is available on the market. The plans will cover the new accidents and new illnesses that occur after the effective date of the policies. If there are any routine visits that are made these will have to be paid for solely out of pocket. The only instance related to a pre-existing condition that could be covered is in the event of a life threating emergency. Please see the FAQ link listed below about the Acute Onset Benefit. Q:I am a citizen of Nigeria and would be visiting the US soonest for maternity visit. Please I have gone through your website and would like to know exactly how much an insurance cover for me would cost especially if I am having a normal delivery. I intend to visit Dallas , Texas since I have stayed there and familiar with the environ. Kindly let me know the exact amount of insurance I am to pay as I am not sure about your calculations on your website.

A:
If you are looking for insurance just to cover your delivery then there is no plan on the market that will cover that. You will have to pay all maternity related expenses out of your pocket since no insurance will cover any of those charges for a visitor to the US. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

A:
The state field is for mailing purpose on whichever address you wants us to send documents. Which insurance plan are you planning to purchase? Most of the plans provide coverage anywhere in the world except your home country and it's not specific to one state.
