Q:My parents are flying to the states from India from Dec 22 to June 14 and I want to get insurance from them. There is a lot of information out there and I am trying to make a decision based on where to buy insurance. My primary question is coverage for pre-existing conditions. The reason for asking this is that the last time my sister bought insurance here in US for her in-laws. Her father in law was sick and we had to take him to emergency. However the insurance company told that they would not cover as the condition was pre-existing. Are there any insurances in US that cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions
Q:My flights were cancelled by the airline. Whereas the airline have guaranteed a full refund the insurance company have refused to refund the insurance costs that I took out as the claim was not made within a 14 day period despite the fact that it was the airline that cancelled not me. Is this legally correct ?
