For e.g. her date of birth is 03/25/1946 so she will turn to 70 on mar 25th. If she is coming to USA on Feb 25th and planning to stay here until 05/25/2016. So you can purchase insurance from 02/25-05/25 and pay premium for age 69. For some reason if she extend her trip beyond 05/25. You can renew the same policy with higher premium as per age 70 and as long as you renew the policy before 05/25 her benefits remains same as age 69 yrs. It is recommended that you purchase the plan with a $0 dollar deducible as some consular officer will request this at the time of appointment. You can find other eligible plans here.

The deductible is an amount you choose to be responsible for in the event of a claim. If you go to a doctor for a new illness and you have chosen a $250 deductible then you will have to pay the first $250 before the plan will pay anything. The plans do not offer rental car coverage.
