Q:What does it mean when the coverage says "to the policy maximum"?

A:
That means that the insurance company will pay up to the policy maximum you have chosen. That means, if you have chosen $50,000 policy maximum, you can be covered up to $50,000. Benefits are subject to the deductible and coinsurance, if any.

Q:Do I need to buy travel insurance for Costa Rica if im just landing and connecting to another flight within a few hours? Not leaving the airport.

A:
This is more of an immigration question and not insurance question. Therefore, we are unable to answer that as we don't know for sure. If you need to purchase it, you can do so at /travel-insurance-for-costa-rica/

Q:I would like to travel to Scotland in August to attend several events. If the country requires all out of country visitors to quarantine when they arrive, this will mean I cannot attend the events I paid for. Do you have any coverage that would protect me in the event that I need to quarantine (without a positive COVID test) and will miss my events? If I know that I will need to quarantine before I leave, I would simply cancel the trip. Is there coverage that would protect me if this occurs?

A:
We do have travel medical plans that can cover for medically necessary testing and treatment for Covid-19, as well as provide quarantine benefits. You can review the plans that include these benefits here: /covid19-travel-insurance-with-quarantine-coverage/ Please let us know if you have additional questions.
