Q:Insurance quote asks for state? When looking for insurance quotes on Insubuy, the query asks for a state in the US (for example). It only lets you select one. What does this mean? What if the visitor my move between states, staying in several over the course of the visit?

A:
Visitor is always covered in all the states in the U.S. As a visitor, you are expected to visit various states. Therefore, it would be inappropriate for any visitors insurance to provide coverage only in one state. For different products, 'State' means different things. For some products, it is asking for the 'State' for the 'Mailing Address' purpose. For some other products, it is asking for the 'Physical Presence' state at the time of purpose, if the person is already in the US. In any case, it is NOT asking for the state where you need the coverage.

Q:I was looking at Atlas Essential but with a $100K policy. The plan says 75/25 of policy maximum, it really is a $75,000 policy. Say the hospital bills are 70,000. I am guessing they will pay 70,000 of the bill. Can you verify my assumption?

A:
Under Atlas Essential plan, first you pay the deductible that is one time. After that insurance will pay 75% you pay 25% to policy maximum you choose. For e.g. if you take $250 deductible and $50,000 coverage with Atlas Essential America. Let's assume that you were in an accident and are hospitalizes for 2 days. The hospital charges $12,000 per day for a total bill of $24,000. Assuming this is the first instance of your needing to use the insurance, You pay your $250ded. Plus $5937.50 (25% of $23750) and the insurance company will pay rest. I hope this answer your question. If you have any further question or need clarification feel free to contact us and will be glad to help you to understand how this plan works. We have Atlas America and Atlas Essential. You need to decide how much you want to pay out of your pocket and decide which options will work for you.
