Q:Visitor's Health Insurance Question Hello, (1) Suppose one (non U.S. citizen) is visiting USA for 5 days and buys "Patriot America" insurance for 5 days. In case an accident happens during those 5 days, it is possible that the person may end up being in some hospital in USA until the person is fit to travel back and that may take many more days and possibly weeks. Will the insurance cover the medical bills for the entire hospital stay in that case (because the accident happened during the insured period) or will it pay only the bills covering till the end of those 5 day duration? (2) For a U.S. citizen visiting USA for short periods from India, two of the choices listed on your website are (a) "Liasion Continent A" and (b) "International Major Medical" by Petersen International Underwriters/Lloyds. Which of those two options would you recommend? (The person does not have any pre-existing conditions). Thanks

A:
Hello, 1. The benefit period following termination of a policy for continued treatment is 6 months for Patriot America. If you will do a quote and then to the left of the name Patriot America click on the box to the left and then scroll up to the compare button it will show the main details of the plan. 2. I would choose Liasion Continent A because it is renewable in case the trip was extended or delayed you could renew it for as little as 5 days. The other plan is not renewable. Please contact us if you need further assistance.

Q:Pre existing with Cancer Hi One of my client who had undergone Partial Penectomy and bilateral VEIL surgery (Carcinoma penis) and has further taken Chemo. He is fully recovered now and the respective doctor certificate is attached. He is travelling to USA for 6 months to take care of his Son & Daughter in law(who is pregnent). 1: Pl. suggest me which policy is suitable to him who is travelling to USA for around 6 months. 2: Atlas America covers PED upto $15000 for upto 70 yrs people, as this person is 63 yrs, can we give this plan ? details of Discharge summary etc., is attached for your immediate reference.

A:
Hello, Cancer is excluded from any plan. Atlas America will only cover the Acute On-Set of the pre-existing condition up to $15,000. The plan will not cover doctor visits, medication, or supplies for the pre-existing condition. You may offer him Atlas America but please make sure your client understands that if something happens related to his cancer it will not be covered. Also, only Acute On-Set of pre-existing is covered up to $15,000. 1: Which other plans other than atlas america can be given? 2: Under Acute On-set of PED under atlas america, assume a person with Diabetes visits USA for 6 months, and after 5 months of stay he develops gangrene and has to be operated for his legs immediately, will this be covered under $15000 cap? We have another plan is called Liaison Continent Insurance. Please read the brochure for more information.

Q:Travel insurance quote (from Argentina) Good morning, I need a travel insurance for my 2 years old daughter. Our residence is in Argentina. She has epilepsy, so she needs medical insurance to cover her preexisting condition. We are going to travel from Argentina to USA from 1 October to 17 October. Report cost and payment. Please, I would appreciate your prompt response. Thank you

There is no plan that will cover her pre-existing condition. There is a plan called Atlas America which will only cover the acute onset of a pre-existing condition, wich is a life threatning situation without any warning up to 15,000. Below is the link for the brochure which also has the premiums. /atlasamerica-insurance/ If you have any further questions please feel free to call.
