Q:I've tried to compare the ExchangeGuard Choice and Essential, but cant find any major differences other than the small price change. Do you have any recommendations on which to choose?

A:
The only difference in the Essential and choice plans is a pre-existing condition waiting period. The Essential option has a 12 month waiting period and the Choice has a 6 month waiting period.

Q:Hi, I am travelling from a place that does not have COVID-19 (last case was in April 2020) for a period of 2 weeks to the USA. What coverage amount and length, do you recommend?

A:
The plans are designed to cover anywhere outside of your home country. You will purchase for the duration that you are needing. You may view and quote plans here. They are designed to cover the new injuries and illnesses that manifest in the body after the effective date. They will not cover pre-existing conditions, preventative or routine care. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance you may call our office at (866) 467-8289.

Q:I need to visit a gynecologist and I have the following questions? How do I find a doctor who accepts the insurance? Are there any preferred providers listed? Do I need to fill in the precertification before the visit or the healthcare provider will fill it ? How is the payment to the healthcare provider paid? Should they bill the insurance directly?

A:
Visitor insurance plans such as the Visitors Care are designed to cover the new things that manifest after the effective date of the plan. They will not cover pre-existing conditions, preventative or routine care. If this visit is routine in nature you will have to pay from your pocket. We would recommend calling our office at (866) 467-8289 or verify your benefits with the phone number listed on the back of the ID card to see if your visit will be an eligible expense under your schedule of benefits.
