Q:I'm wondering if you would be able to cover my husband and I for health insurance. We live in the U.K. (my husband is a British citizen and will become a US permanent resident, I'm an American citizen) and we are moving to the U.S. May 15th. We would need coverage from May 15th through June 20th, as we will then be covered through an employment plan. We will be staying in Ohio initially, but then moving to Montana June 15th or 16th. We are also wondering if you would be able to cover travel from the UK?

A:
There is a plan that we would recommend for coverage called International Major Medical. This plan will cover you during your travel as well as in the United States for the brief period needed. The plan will cover any new accident and illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. If you need any clarification please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am a 39 year old female with 2 kids, 11 and 8 years old. I intend to visit multiple states in US. We are green card holders with advance parole travel documents.

A:
There is a plan called Patriot America Plus that we would recommend for coverage. This plan will cover any new accidents and new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. Typically in network providers will bill directly but there is not a guarantee as they may require you to pay out of pocket. Larger hospital bills will be bill directly because of the amounts being charged. Please review the FAQ below about direct billing and how it works: In Network Claims FAQ If you need any additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Hello, I was trying to purchase student health insurance on Insubuy and had some queries. I'm on F1 visa. My dependent child (1.5 yrs old) will be travelling with me and he is a US citizen but the website does not allow me to purchase insurance for my dependent child. Would you be able to help with this on how should I proceed.

A:
If you are needing coverage for a US citizen within the United States you will have to purchase a separate plan for him as you cannot put a US citizen on the same policy as a non us citizen. As a US citizen he is required to have a domestic insurance in accordance with the PPACA. It is recommended that you purchase a plan from your sponsoring organization if possible as there is not a plan that we can offer your son.
