Q:I am J1 Scholar and looking for travel insurance to meet my J1 requirement for 18 months. I found "Liaison Continent B" insurance as suitable and affordable plan and would like to know if you can issue a certificate indicating following minimum amounts if I purchase insurance with your company: 1. Medical illness/injury coverage per person: 100,000 2. Return of mortal remains: 25000 3. Medical evacuation: 50,000 4. Deductible: 500 5. Rating: I need quote and will be in need of certificate with exact amounts mentioned not general text like 'overall maximum etc....' that is not acceptable to our program.

A:
Liaison Continent plan B does not meet J1 visa requirements. You can purchase Atlas Exchange or Atlas Essential plan. Atlas Essential is very similar to Liaison Continent B. You can compare these plan at the J1 Visa Health Insurance section on our website. When it's says overall policy max. that means it will cover up to policy max. you have chosen. We sell this J1 visa insurance everyday. So we are well aware with the requirements.

Q:I would like to ask about insurance for my wife, she has J-2 visa, and we need the insurance to cover maternity and other basic requirements. I missed the deadline to enroll my wife on my insurance. Can you send me the quotes and plans please? I preferred to be contacted by email. Thank you. And my insurance has been covered by university.

A:
The plans for a J2 will not cover routine or maternity related expenses. The plans will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the policy. The plan we would recommend is the Atlas Exchange for new illness or injury. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.
