I selected atlas plan. by definition of home country in your website, my home country is US and citizenship is Iran, but there is no US in the list of home country options. Which country should I choose for home country? If I choose Iran, by your rules I am not eligible for this plan, right? Please help me what to do? Thanks a lot!

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. You can purchase Patriot Exchange plan or Patriot America Plus plan. Atlas America has some country restriction. Under Patriot Exchange plan your home country is still Iran. Please review this plan and feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My daughter in law is in the US now on a K1 visa and awaiting her green card. I bought her a short term medical plan but she needs to have a long term solution for medical insurance. Once she gets her green card she can get on my son's insurance. She is 27 with no preexisting conditions. Her only Rx is her birth control pills. Which would be the best option for her? She will probably need the insurance for a year or more.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. You may purchase the Patriot America Plus plan. This plan would cover you while you are on a K-1 visa, and even after you have acquired your green card. This plan is not PPACA compliant. It will only cover you for a new illness, injury, or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. Pre-existing conditions, routine doctors' visits, immunizations or medications which are in relation to a pre-existing condition are not covered. There is no short term plans that will cover birth control. Once she has her green card and has been added to the domestic plan with your son then she will have that coverage.

Q:Good morning, I'm from Spain but I'm moving to United States on Jan.15th because I won a Green Card on the DV Lottery. Now I'm trying to find a good insurance policy for my first months within the US. Do you have any suggestions? Which insurance can I apply for if I'm a Green Card holder? Thank you so much for your attention. Best regards, CHRISTIAN C.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. As a new immigrant into the United States there is a plan that we would recommend for coverage in the interim period for before your domestic insurance would begin. There is a plan called Patriot America Plus that would cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. There is no preventative care or care for immunization offered under any short term plans on the market.
