Q:I have inquiry, if your company insured any birth procedure in united state and how much it cost, for female age 27 years old and not Us citizen.

A:
Unfortunately, there is no insurance for an international visitor which covers maternity. You have to pay from your pocket.

Q:My mother is coming in USA for 3 months. She is 76 and I need health insurance. I tried online application but not able to apply. She will stay like 2 months in MI and 1 month here in MD. Just want to know it will be valid in any stats in US?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Many of the plans have a state restriction for MD so if you are using the MD address then some of the plans will not be available. Once you have purchased a plan it will provide coverage all over the US, even MD. If you purchase before her arrival you would be able to purchase the Atlas America plan or you could also purchase the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I'm planning on purchasing the Atlas Exchange insurance. Your brochure says students on F-1 visas are eligible o purchase this insurance, but I was wondering if this extends to students who have graduated and are on their OPT period as well? I'd really appreciate it if you could shed some light on this.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You are eligible to purchase the Atlas Exchange while on OPT. It is recommended that you go on any employer insurance if it is offered to you since the Atlas Exchange does not meet the ACA requirements. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:My husband and I are travelling to the USA to have our baby there. We will be paying our own way in terms of the birth and regular hospital fees. Do you offer a package that will cover her and baby for emergencies only (as we are paying for the regular costs)? For example Neonatal ICU or emergency surgery due to complications. We do not mind taking out a policy that is 12 months.

A:
The plans for visitors will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the plan. There wouldn't be any plan on the market that will cover any medical treatment or complications for the delivery. Also, since the child will be born a US citizen then there also wouldn't be any plans that will cover the child at birth. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.
