Q:Hi, I read in my policy that there is coverage for quarantine expense (I believe up to 2 days at 100 a day). We had an insured member of our group test positive in Mexico and needed to quarantine for 5 days. I'm not sure how to file this type of claim for our Atlas International policy?

A:
Please contact claim dept. # you can find on the insurance card.

Q:unable to find any information regarding my request for health insurance in the United States. I am a new immigrant with Permanent Residence in the United States IR5 status. Please advise of an Insurance Agency(ies) I can contact to get a quote for health insurance in Southern California for me. Your response is appreciated.

A:
You should be eligible for domestic insurance through the Health Care Exchange in your state of California. If you are eligible for that insurance, you would not be eligible for insurance we offer. If you are not yet eligible for domestic for some reason, for example have a waiting period before it can begin, we do have 1 plan you could carry until you are. /international-major-medical-insurance/ If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hello,I purchased this insurance for my mom and she had an accident that resulted in an emergency room visit. We provided all the insurance information to the health provider, but for some reason, they sent us a bill directly. How do we go about this claim? I contacted the claim specialist and they told me that the hospital needs to send them a bill directly. Is this the correct course of action?

A:
The insurance company cannot process a claim for a bill that is does not have or has not received. If the claims department representative advised you to have the provider send them the claim, then you would want to do so. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hi,I'd like to purchase a visitor medical insurance for 3 months. Specifically the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive. Then I'd like to extend the coverage period by another 3 months. Would I get the same price as for the first 3 months given that the person is in the same age group, the months have the same number of days and the premium prices have remained the same for everyone else?Thank you!

A:
The price or benefit levels on the plans would only change if the insured(s) have changed age groups before and at the time of the renewal. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hi my son is off to college we are from nz he is coming to USA he will be playing college soccer is he covered

A:
Coverage would depend on the insurance he will have while here in the U.S. If he is going to be covered under the university's insurance, you would have to check with their plan to see what it would cover related to school sports. If he will not have that type of coverage, is an F1 visa holder, and is looking to see what might be available, you can run quotes and view our F1 plans here: /international-student-insurance/ If his school has any requirements his insurance must meet, those requirements can be reviewed as well. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
