Q:I am from India, age 65 years. I am going to America for one month visit. I want to know the details of insurance.

A:
We are a broker and offer all of the major plans on the market. There are two different types of plans available either a Fixed or Comprehensive coverage plan. The plans differ in how they pay if something were to happen. Either plan type is designed to cover any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. You may use the link below to view the available plans. We would be more than happy to send you a quote but first we will need to know the state in which you will primarily visit, and the travel dates. You may also obtain a quote by contacting our office at (866) 467-8289. If you have any additional questions please let us know. Visitors to USA

Q:Can I select Mailing Address and the option is - "Other" (since I have taken this quote on behalf of my mother ) giving my USA address? What are the details that I need to provide in "Beneficiary for Accidental Death"?

A:
The address you list would be your U.S. address. The selection you can make of applicant vs. other is whose name you want on the mail with the U.S. address. So your address but with it either addressed to you or your mother, your choice. The plan comes with an accidental death and dismemberment policy built into it. If something were to happen and the insured were to perish due to an accidental death during the policy period it pays out an amount as a benefit. The beneficiary is who those funds would go to. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us.

Q:If I was to take out an Atlas America travel plan With Acute onset of pre existing conditions, as I understand it , I would be covered for a sudden heart attack as long as I had not seen a doctor with symtoms prior to the start of cover ? What sort of dollar amount would I need to cover hospitalisation for this type of emergency?

A:
The acute onset of pre-existing condition coverage is defined as a sudden and unexpected occurrence, something which occurs without advance warning and requires emergency care. Treatment must also be obtained with 24 hours of the occurrence. We would recommend any policy maximum $100,000 or higher in order to cover the cost of a potential hospitalization.
