Q:I need to find how much my medical coverage goes. Especially for covide-19 related issues. I csnt find it in my plan.

A:
Your plan provides up to $100,000 in medical coverage for new illnesses and injuries that occur, manifest, or are contracted after the policy effective date. Because Covid-19 is treated as any other new illness, Covid-19 coverage would be included in the $100,000 as long as contracted after the effective date, and will cover any medically necessary testing and treatment to that maximum. The plan will not cover elective testing for Covid-19. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q:hi i need to have covid testing just show the insurance name and certificate no?

A:
The plans that offer benefits for Covid-19 will do so as long as it is contracted after the effective date. Then it will cover any medically necessary treatment up to the plan's benefit levels. It will not cover elective testing. If you are sick and go to a doctor, you would provide your ID card to the doctor's office so they can verify benefits. If the doctor recommends a test based on your symptoms, then it could be covered. Any testing done without symptoms and a docotor's recommendation would not be covered. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:Good afternoon. Can I purchase medical insurance from you for my stay in the USA ( Maine ). I am already in the USA. I need coverage thru the end of February 2021. I am a Canadian resident. I do NOT require COVID coverage.

A:
You can run quotes for the available plans for visitors to the U.S. through this link:/visitors-insurance/ Some will include benefits for Covid-19 and some will not, you can certainly choose one that does not if you are not interested in those benefits. You already being in the U.S. and in Maine will not prevent you from purchasing. However, keep in mind that the plans for visitors will cover for new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date. They do not cover things that are preventative, routine, or pre-existing. Some plans do include Acute onset benefits of pre-existing conditions and I have attached the information link below to explain that benefit option. /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:does this plan cover medical fees incurred in Anguilla if i am not a US citizen

A:
We would be glad to assist. Can you please advise which policy you are interested in purchasing? We would need to know the name of the plan in order to confirm or verify any benefits, as well as how the plan works. However, we do offer plans that can cover non- U.S. citizens and residents as well, when they are traveling outside of their home country.

Q:I am trying to buy insurance for my mom who has a green card but when i select resident country as US it does not let me proceed. Can you please suggest what I need to do? I was looking at the patriot america plus plan.

A:
In order to purchase the Patriot America Plus plan the insured must have a residence address outside of the US. If their residence address is a US address then they are not eligible for this plan. You may purchase the International Major Medical plan for them. This plan will cover them in the US, and they are eligible for this plan even though they are on a Green Card. Please use the link provided below to view the plan details and purchase. You may also purchase the plan over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.
