Q:Can I renew my mother's insurance since she will be crossing one full year with this insurance? She is still on visitor visa. I have applied for Green Card and it is under processing.

A:
The short term options that would be available would cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. These plan do not cover pre-existing conditions, general routine doctors visits or medications as it relates to the pre-existing conditions. Please take a moment to review the Bridge Plan that would be available for her. This option would be available until she is eligible to enroll into a domestic insurance plan.
