Q:am an international student with an F1 visa. I already have a health insurance but my school is requesting me to purchase a supplemental policy that covers repatriation and evacuation. I have found on your website the following plan: However, my school policy says I need to purchase a plan that covers at least $50,000 for repatriation and at least $50,0000 for evacuation. According to the plan offered by your company, it covers $50,000 for evacuation and $25,000 for repatriation. So, my question is: do you have a plan that satisfies my school's policy ($50,000 evacuation & $50,000 repatriation? Looking forward to hearing from you.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. The Atlas MedEvac plan will not meet your University's requirements. You may purchase a plan such as the Atlas America, or the Atlas Exchangeas either plan will provide coverage limits sufficient for the emergency medical evacuation and repatriation of remains. Please use the links provided below to view the plan benefits and purchase. You may also purchase over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:Could you provide the documents in advance and I will pay later?

A:
Unfortunately, there is no plan that will provide the policy documents in advance of the payment/purchase. You would have to pay for the plan and then you will receive the policy documents as requested. Payments are by US funds usually by credit card online.

Q:I have a question. I am a US citizen residing abroad that will be traveling back to the US for 3 weeks with my kids (dual citizens). I need a medical insurance plan that covers pre-existing conditions. Does your company offer a plan like that?

A:
There is no short term plan available on the market that will cover pre-existing conditions, preventative care, or routine maintenance. Plans available to visitors to the US will cover any new illness or injury that occur after the effective date. The only plans that will cover pre-existing conditions are long term domestic plans.
