Q:My son will be in Mississippi Mon 30th July. I need to take a medical insurance so he is covered while he studies at Grace Baptist Academy, in Ocean Springs. I am in Australia and he will be overseas in the US. I have seen your Standard plan. Can you please specify what I can do to get the insurance. I got stuck when the application is asking for student - as he is high school student with F1 visa. but the form shows undergraduate can I select that. And the query was about billing address as we are residing in Australia and my son will be under the guidance of the school. I was going with the Standard Plan says about $460 comprehensive cover, health and school sports etc I need to do this at the earliest. please reply.

A:
Were you trying to purchase Study USA standard plan? Study USA plan you can't purchase if he is located in Australia at the time of application. Student health advantage Standard or Platinum plan asks only visa type. His visa type is F1. Billing address and residence address you can enter Australia address. For mailing address you can give his US address. You can purchase either Patriot Exchange, Student Health Advantage Standard or Platinum plan. Please compare those plans at international student insurance section. Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans but he will be eligible to purchase patriot Exchange plan, student Health advantage standard or platinum plan. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My son has just graduated from high school and is taking a gap year before attending university. Unfortunately our international employer does not have medical coverage for over 18 dependents. So we are looking for medical coverage for within the United States and also for his travels outside of the U.S. for this year. which will include Malaysia, Indonesia, Ecuador, New Zealand, and the Netherlands. Since he is healthy, we are mainly looking for major medical coverage. Would you please send us quotes and information? he is a U.S. citizen.

A:
What state does he live in? We have a short term domestic for in the US but it is not ACA compliant. Then there are plans in the Travel outside of US for when he is in the other countries you listed. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am an international college student from Mississippi State University. I am planning to buy the insurance plan for the following academic fall 2018 semester. I am attaching the brochure of the university health insurance and please compare with your insurance plan and based on that please reply to this email saying that which insurance plan I should opt for and please explain why as well so that I could explain the university the reasons for which I can buy an alternate insurance plan.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The brochure you attached is for a domestic plan so the plans we offer will not be the same. If there is an actual waiver form then we can review to see if we have plans that will meet the universities requirements, unless their requirement is you have a comparable plan, then you would have to purchase the plan from them. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
