Q:HelloMy mother who is 83 yrs old would be arriving in US and would be staying with us. We are looking for visitors insurance which will cover her conditions. She has diabetes and BP. Long yrs ago when she was 60 she had a heart attack. She has spondylitis too. Can you please advice me for as to what insurance would be suitable for her. We would be applying for her green card in a month

A:
You can purchase Visitors Protect Insurance with pre-existing conditions as long as she is fit to travel and not travelling to US for seeking medical treatment. This plan is not extendable and you can have this plan maximum up to one year. You can also look at Safe Travels USA Comprehensive insurance which provides coverage for An acute onset of pre-existing conditions Once her green card is approved she will no longer be eligible for either of the above plans.

Q:Hello,I am an insurance broker and a friend called me as he has a niece here from India on a student F1 Visa. A few questions:1) Does the premium payment have to be paid up front?2) What doctor network do you use and how does someone find a doctor?3) If I read it correctly, pre-existing conditions are not covered. For how long? Thank you,Leslie

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. In most International Student Insurance Plans, the premium can be paid on a monthly basis. The ExchangeGuard plan will require to you pay for the duration the insured would like up front, but the plans are extendable. So they may initially purchase for any duration, and then extend the coverage month by month as they continue their studies in the United States. Most of the plans will use the United Healthcare PPO Network, and you may use the provider directory to search for medical providers in your area. Many of the International Student Insurance plans will provide coverage for pre-existing conditions after the plan has been in force at least 6 or 12 months. The coverage amount after the waiting period will depend on the plan you select. If you have any additional questions or would like a plan recommendation, please contact our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY 467-8289.

Q:Hello, I am a resident of Mexico, but I am an USA american citizen. I normally buy the Insubuy "Patriot America Plus" when I travel to USA. I am considering your International Medical Expatriate health plan since I reside most of the time in Mexico. However, I want to still be able to buy the Patriot America Plus travel and health insurance when I do trips to USA. Is that travel insurance a conflict with the expatriate health insurance?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. You are still able to purchase the Patriot America Plus plan when visiting the US, as long as your primary residence is not in the United States. This does not conflict with the Expatriate Health Insurance plan you are attempting to purchase. If you have any additional questions, please contact our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY 467-8289.

Q:I live in the US. My sister is visiting me from Taiwan and will be staying in the US for about two months. As she is a US citizen (but have not lived in the US in the past 20 years) could she purchase travel insurance? And she has Microcytic Anemia, although its not affecting her right now but when she is traveling in the US and has an emergency, will the insurance cover the expanse? Thanks

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. A U.S. citizen can purchase the Visitors Protect or the Patriot America Plus. These plans will cover a U.S. citizen temporarily visiting the U.S. The Visitors Protect plan will cover pre-existing conditions, and the Patriot America Plus will include coverage for the acute onset of pre-existing conditions. You may purchase these plans online, or over the phone by contacting our office at +1 (866) INSUBUY 467-8289.
