Q:My wife and I currently live in Canada and are considering moving to the U.S. We are both 71 and in good health. However I had cancer treatment in 2016 and my wife had similar treatment a couple of years earlier. As I understand it, we would not be eligible for Medicare for 5 years after moving to the U.S. and would need health coverage for that period. Do you have a policy that would meet our needs? If so, what would it cover, are there maximum amounts, and what would this cost?

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. We have some plan that you will be eligible to purchase but insurance will not pay for any pre-existing conditions or preventive care. Q:I am looking for Travel insurance for travelling to US from UK for a period of 4 Oct to 15 Nov 2019. I am looking for for quotes including coverage for vaccination and health check ups as well.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs Unfortunately, there is not a plan that you can purchase that will cover the cost of wellness checkups and immunizations. These are expenses that would have to be paid for out of pocket. The plans are designed to cover any new accidents and new illnesses that happen after the effective date. Please view the /visitors-insurance/ section of the website that will offer plans for your travels. If you would like assistance from a licensed agent please contact our office.

A:
Based on the information provided below, it appears you are looking for Trip Insurance Coverage. These plans can cover for all non-refundable trip costs, however, they cover for specific named reasons, and not getting the visa approval would not be one of them. Some plans do have a cancel for any reason benefit for U.S. residents, if the plan is purchased within 21 days of the initial trip deposit. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
