Q:Protection America coverage in Europe & USA We purchased IMG's Protection America plan for her parents for 3 months. My parents are planning to come to the US in early June for 3 months as well, but on their way here, they are thinking of spending 2-3 weeks with my cousin in Europe (Holland in particular, but may be travelling to neighboring countries as well). Would you please confirm if their insurance in Europe will also be covered if I get the same Protection America plan starting from the date they leave India? If you have other advice regarding the coverage at Europe, please let me know.

A:
Yes, Protection America is valid anywhere outside home country. Therefore, if the person is from India, he/she would get covered anywhere outside India.

Q:Insurance for pre-existing conditions To Whom It May Concern, I would like to know about the benefits of your company, I am currently residing in the United Kingdom with my husband and we do plan on moving back to America. I am looking at lots of different health care plans and comparing them I need a specific one that will take care of my husband's needs he has a medical condition which is ulcerative colitis and as a result of that he has a permanent illostemy. He needs to know some information: Does your insurance allow you to choose your own doctors? What ostomy equipment is covered? Can you choose where to buy supplies? Will your coverage be limited or even denied if you have a pre-existing condition? Which insurance do you suggest will be best for our situation? I will be awaiting a response soon, thank you for your time and attention to this matter. A:
In this situation, unfortunately, there is no insurance plan from any company that will cover your husband's pre-existing conditions. All the plans will exclude that. If you look into any domestic plans such as Blue Cross, Assurant(Fortis), Golden Rule, Unicare etc, they will NOT insure him at all as he is not US resident. Most companies require persons to be US residents, some require green card, need person to be staying in US for at least 1 year. They will still not cover pre-existing conditions. Some will decline insurance all together. But with us, we specialize in insurance for people who are non US citizens, just like your husband. It will cover any new medical conditions that may occur after insurance is effective. I would suggest one of 2 plans: Protection America: /patriot-america-lite/visitor-insurance/ Can be purchased for $50,000, $100,000, $500,000 and $1,000,000 policy maximums. If he gets sick, first you have to pay annual decutible (such as $100, $250, $500,...) After that insurance company pay 80% for first $5,000 and after that, it pays 100% up to policy maximum. Also, or you can consider buying Global Medical Insurance: /global-medical-insurance/international-health-insurance/ $5,000,000 If he gets sick, first you have to pay annual decutible(such as $250, $500,...) After that insurance company pays 100% as long as visiting Dr. in the network. Othewise, 80/20 for first $5,000 and after that 100%. Both the plans are PPO and participate in First Health PPO network which is a very wide network all across US. /international-medical-ppo-network/ You can review the details of the plan online and make instant purchase online.

Q:Insurance for baby delivery Hi, I need this specific information very urgently.I am visiting chicago next month along with my wife I am on H1 and my wife is on H4 B. But my employer does not take care of my wife's insurance and now I am in dilema how to cover the insurance for my wife for all delivery in US. Do you know any information like who will be doing such insurances? Please let me know ASAP. Thanks a Million in advance Regards

A:
There is no such insurance, unfortunately. I would recommend that your wife stay in India until the delivery of baby, unless you have money to pay for it yourself (May be $15,000 to $20,000). Once her current pregnancy is over and baby is delivered, you can consider buying the Patriot America Plus plan

I have been given 2 years multientry visa. Will you please advise me comprehansive health insurance plan with cost and coverage enabling me to arrive at a decision?

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing medical insurance from us. We have several different comprehensive coverage plans from different companies. Currently, Protection America from IMG is the best plan available that has big network of doctors and hospitals that accept the insurance and bill directly. It is renewable in case you extend your trip. Please look at Protection America at /visitor-insurance/ It is 3rd plan from top. If you take $50,000 coverage with $250 deductible, it will cost you $135/month. If you get sick or injured, you have to first pay $250 one time for entire policy period, after that insurance company pays 80% for first $5,000 expense, you pay 20% for first $5,000 expense (out of network, is 70% - 30%). You can make instant purchase right there.

Q:Pre-Existing Coverage for my Daughter in India Is there any insurance compnay which provides insurance coverage for pre-exisitng diseases. Any information if the Group Insurance taken by the companies would cover the existing diseases for dependents.

A:
There is no insurance plan for visitors to USA to cover pre-existing conditions. For group insurance, you have to check with your employer what would be covered and what wouldn't be. Thanks for the reply. Does your reply applies to Aliens on L1 or work permit visa. Anyone who wants to buy short term insurance, it will not cover pre-existing conditions. Person can be a visitor, L1 holder, greencard holder, or US citizen. It does not matter. No short term plans covers pre-existing conditions.
