Q:Hi, I would like to buy a travel insurance for my 5 year old kid who is going to America (Massachusetts) with us on a F2 visa. My wife and I are already covered under the school (Boston University). Can I check if it is possible just to buy insurance for the kid under ExchangeGuard? Looking forward to your kind advice.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The ExchangeGuard plan would be available for purchase to a F2 visa holder. Please be advised that the plan is designed to cover the new accidents and new illness that happen after the effective date of the policy. If you have any additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I want to verify if this insurance will be waived in my university. It is mentioned that you will help in this process on your website . The insurance should be ACA Compliant and also should check with most of the points mentioned in the pdf attached. Could you provide me with different suggestions based on the insurance cost and level of coverage?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, the plans will not meet the requirements as listed. You would have to purchase from the university to be able to meet their requirements. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I wonder why my entered information (please see the attached) led to "no insurance plans were found with the criteria entered"? According to the information I entered, do you have a recommendation?

A:
It's because you put your home country as the United States. You would only put your home country as the US if you were a permanent resident and then you wouldn't have any plans to choose from since the plans are designed to cover you outside of your home country. Once you change your home country to China then you will have plans available for review.

Q:I will like to inquire if it's possible to be on a monthly payment plan for international student health insurance plan? I intend to enrol in your ExchangeGuard Essential plan between August 2018 and May 2019. I am an international student studying in the United States. Thank you in anticipation

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You can purchase the plan month to month and renew it for the additional months needed with a $5.00 renewal fee. The certificate you would receive would only show coverage for 1 month as that is what you have paid through. If you need to show coverage for the entire year then you would have to purchase for the full duration at one time.
