Q:I had purchase previously through Insubuy for my parents. Is it possible to just buy the same plan again or would I need to enter in all the information again?

A:
You can purchase it again easily through the MyAccount section of the website. You would enter in the certificate number of the previously and the primary members date of birth. Once logged in you can click on repurchase and choose the option for same plan for same person(s). Alternatively, you may call our office at (866) 467-8289 and any of our licensed representatives will gladly assist.

Q:I was wondering if you could possibly assist us on the below matter. We are a recruiting company based in South Africa mainly for the cruise liner industry and need insurance to compensate seafarers recruited by us, for any monetary loss they may incur as a result of our failure to meet our obligations to them. The ship owners have P&I cover in place which covers crew for illness, medical evacuation, death and disability so we only need to prove insurance for the above. Hopefully, you can assist or steer us in the right direction?

A:
The plans we offer are the ones already provided. We don't have plans for the monetary loss as described.

Q:I am a citizen of Russia. I would like to insure my health and life during my stay in the United States visiting relatives ( from 08/21/2019 to 09/22/2109), but I do not know how to do it correctly. I listed my son (a U.S. citizen) as the beneficiary. Do I need to write his U.S. address? If the insurance documents come to this address, how do I get to the United States without them through Finland, where may I have to show them to proceed freely further - in the United States? How to pay for the insurance policy? Can I pay online with a Visa card with ruble content? Will there be an automatic conversion to dollars or do I have to have a dollar Visa to pay immediately? Will the insurance documents you send me by e-mail to present in the transit country-Finland-be valid? It is not very clear how to fill in some fields in your form. Does it matter that my place of stay will be Michigan for the possible use of your insurance?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You can list your son as your beneficiary but an address for him is not required, you only put his name. The only thing that some plans mail is an ID card so you can put whatever address you want. All of your policy documents including a visa letter that you can print and carry when you travel will be sent in the confirmation email. You can use whatever card that pays in US funds. There is no restriction for Michigan. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am a graduate student at the University of Chicago. I hold an F1 Visa, while my wife and son have F2 dependent visa. My university has an insurance plan for me, but I can also waive out their plan and buy an alternate package that satisfies certain requirements. I looked up for some plans on your website, and wonder if either of Patriot Exchange Program or Student Health Advantage Standard will meet the university requirements. Can you please check this for me? I will appreciate your help and offers.

A:
There is not a plan that we can offer you to meet these requirements. Per the requirements the plan has to be ACA compliant which you will only be able to obtain through your University. So it is recommended that you obtain coverage from your school to be compliant.

Q:I am looking for health insurance plans that can cover pre-existing conditions, specifically congenital heart defects. I am a non-US citizen and non-resident - I'm from Hong Kong, and permanent resident here. Please do let me know if you have some information regarding this.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. Insurance for an international visitor covers for any new sickness, injuries or accidents that occur after the insurance effective date of the policy. It will not cover any preventive care or routine maintenance for pre-existing conditions. Some plans provides coverage for an acute onset of pre-existing condition. If you provide your age, arrival date in US, which state you need coverage in as well as travel dates and will be glad to send you quote via e-mail. Meantime, please visit our Visitors to the USA section. Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
