Q:We are SIM USA retirees living in Cochabamba, Bolivia, where we have lived now for 40 years. Helen was born here as her parents were also missionaries in Bolivia. Your email address was given to us to inquire if you have a Medical evacuation insurance policy in case we would need to return by emergency to USA. We have excellent medical care in Cochabamba where we live but if it is possible to buy a reasonably priced insurance to cover a medical evacuation, we would be interested in more details. When in USA we are covered by Medicare A and B and only have to buy the prescription amount. We do not need regular medical insurance for here. Thank you for your attention to our inquiry.

A:
While most of the medical plans include medical evacuation there is no plan that has just the medical evacuation alone. There wouldn't be a plan that will cover you in your home country for medical evacuation to the US. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:Can you give me examples of the below? "Preventative care or routine maintenance"

A:
Preventative care is when you have a physical. Nothing is wrong you are just getting a checkup. Routine maintenance is if you do have a pre-existing condition like high blood pressure and you have to go to the doctor every so often to follow up.
