Q:I have one follow up questions. If I bought 12 months insurance and requested 2 months of the End of trip coverage for when I return to Canada, will I be covered if I return to Canada during the 12th month. Or will point 18a of the policy apply? If so, would I need to buy 14 months of insurance to get the 2 months upon return to Canada after 12 months abroad?

A:
End of Trip Coverage is available when you process the application. If you purchase for 12 months, then there is the option to choose End of Trip Coverage for 2 months. You don't need to purchase 14 months. It's a rider available in the application of Patriot International. Feel free to contact us with any further questions.

Q:Hello, I will likely be buying travel health insurance through your company and have 1 question. I am 28 years old, I live in Canada and am Canadian, and I will be moving to Germany 12 months. You have a range of comprehensive plans that I appear to be eligible for. In Canada, if we leave the country for a certain period of time we lose our eligibility for our government health insurance. I want you know how End of Trip Home Country Coverage works. This is included in a couple of the plans for up to two months after return. Does this mean that I will in fact be covered in my home country upon my return? many thanks, Adam

A:

Q:Dear Sir or Madam, I am a postgraduate student from Poland and I will be visiting the Stanford University as a Visitor Student Researcher (arriving with J-1 visa). I would like to purchase an insurance policy for the six-month internship in US. There are specific requirements and all of them need to be fulfilled. Moreover, insurance company needs to sign a compliance form. Could you please provide me with some plans that meet all the requirements? Insurance policy must cover the entire period of November 1 through April 30 with benefits that meet or exceed the following minimum standards: - An annual deductible less than $1,000 USD (I'd prefer less or no deductible) - Lifetime aggregate maximum benefit of at least $2,000,000 USD OR a maximum per condition/per lifetime benefit of $500,000 USD. - Coverage for inpatient and outpatient medical care in the San Francisco Bay Area and the U.S. - Coverage for inpatient and outpatient mental health care in the San Francisco Bay Area and the U.S. - Prescription drug coverage. - Coverage for non-emergency as well as emergency care. - Coverage for pre-existing conditions or you have met applicable waiting periods. - Minimum coverage of $25,000 USD for repatriation of remains and $50,000 USD for medical evacuation. - The policy must be backed by the full faith and credit of your home country government or the company providing the insurance must meet minimum rating requirements established by DOS (an A. M. Best rating of "A-" or above, an Insurance Solvency International, Ltd. (ISI) rating of "A-" or above, a Standard & Poor's Claims-paying Ability rating of "A-" or above, or a Weiss Research, Inc. rating of B+ or above). The compliance form can be found on Stanford's website: https://vaden.stanford.edu/sites/default/files/insurance-coverage-certification_fy18_0.pdf Yours faithfully, Andrzej Sokolowski

Q:Hi, I am interested in buying travel insurance from your company but I am afraid I'm going to make a mistake. I read online that your company provides insurance to US citizens who live abroad and are going to visit the US. I currently live in Thailand and I am going home to visit my family for only the month of October. I am unsure of what plan to purchase that will cover me (a us citizen) while I am in the United States. Thank you!

A:
We have the Patriot America Plus insurance plan that can cover a U.S. citizen who lives abroad here in the U.S. while visiting. At the top of the page, you will notice an orange quotes and purchase button. You can run a quote by entering your specific dates of travel and other information. Then if you decide you do want to purchase, you can do so through the link online or call us and we can help you purchase over the phone. If you have any questions, please let us know and we would be glad to assist.
