Q:I am coordinating a summer program at Princeton University for which we will be hosting a number of students on our campus in New Jersey for 9 weeks, from June 10 to August 10. One of our students, who is a resident of Puerto Rico, will not have valid health insurance for this summer period. Could you let me know what options you might have for covering her for the duration of the program?

A:
Unfortunately, since they are considered a US citizen the plans we have for international students will not cover them. Another option would be short term domestic plans. You could call the State Department of Insurance in NJ for short term options. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office

Q:I am American living in Korea. I am married to a Korean national and have a son who is a dual citizen. I will be visiting the states this summer (June 25th- July 20th) and am curious if your company will provide service for myself and my family. I looked around on the site but couldn't determine if I could get insurance for myself since I am a citizen of the states but do not live there.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There is a plan called Patriot America Plus that your family can purchase for coverage. As your son is a dual citizen his U.S. citizenship will take precedence in the United States. Although you can all purchase the same plan yourself and child can go onto the same policy and your wife will have a separate plan as there is not a way to specify the countries of citizenship on a single policy. If you have any additional questions please contact our office.
