Q:If I am covered for visitor medical insurance for stay in US over 60 days - when I return I need Covid mandatory test before I travel back to India. Is that test cost covered by any insurance coverage

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. The plans available will not offer the coverage for COVID-19 test coverage for travel purposes. You will have to pay for that expense from your pocket. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:I am a us citizen living abroad and want to visit the us with my husband who is not a us citizen. Can you offer insurance for both of us?We are 72 years old.

A:
Yes, we can offer insurance for both of you. If you have a primary residence outside the United States and are just coming to visit you may both purchase the Patriot America Plus plan. Since you have differing citizenships, you will want to have separate applications. Should you have additional questions, you may of course call us at +! (866) 467-8289.

Q:I am new immigrant in the US via greencard and I need health insurance for my first 1-2 months in the US. Your website suggests to purchase a New Immigrant insurance of which Patriot America is a suggested one. However, inspecting the "Certificate of Insurance" document, D(8) ELIGIBILITY states: "- not have established a permanent residency in the Destination Country" However, BY DEFINITION a new immigrant (i.e., a greencard holder entering the US) will be establishing a permanent residency. This is very CONTRADICTING! Why is this the case? If I purchase Patriot America/Patriot America Plus during my first 1-2 months after I entered the US as a greencard, will I be fully protected?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. In order to better assist you we will need additional information to determine the eligibility for the Patriot America Plus plan. If you could call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289, we will be able to better assist you with the plan. Alternatively, you may look into purchasing the National General Short Term Medical insurance for two months. Please let us know if you have additional questions

Q:I am a US citizen (California resident) already traveling abroad. I am currently in Colombia. I will be traveling to Costa Rica on April 10 2021 through June 12 2021. I will be returning to Colombia before traveling back to the US. Which plan is appropriate for my situation to comply with the Costa Rica insurance requirement for entry?

A:
Since you have already departed from the United States the Safe Travels Voyager plan would not be available for you. You will have to purchase the plan offered through the Costa Rican government to meet their requirements. Should you have additional questions you may call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:Good morning, I am exploring the option to purchase the Safe Travels International Cost Saver insurance. As I understand, this insurance is mainly focussed on covering medical expenses.I would like to know if you also offer the option of insuring my belongings while I'm travelling.I read that the Safe Travels International Cost Saver insurance covers 'lost baggage', but I can't find out if it also covers stolen or lost belongings while I'm already at my destination? Or is there maybe another insurance that you offer that will cover such loss?Thank you very much for informing me, Danouck van Kan (nationality: Dutch).

A:
Unfortunately, there will not be a plan available that will allow for such coverage. Should you have additional questions you may call our office at +! (866) 467-8289.
