Q:question for expedition insurance in polar region Dear Sirs, On a tip I visited the Insubuy website. Hope you can help me out on the following ; Next year I'm planning to enter a 90day expedition on the Arctic ocean and Greenland. For this I need a insurance which covers medical assistance, SAR and evacuation. Can you please advise me on which insurance plan is most convenient? I'm a non-US citizen, I'm a resident of The Netherlands, Europe. I looked at the Worldmed plan, but I'm not sure this is the best plan for me. Best Regards,

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. You can purchase Atlas International. This plan will cover medical and evacuation but will not cover SAR. We provide insurance from many companies but whatever you are looking for that SAR no insurance will cover it. Atlas International brochure, instant purchase and other useful information, /atlas-international-insurance/ Please review this and if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us. Q:Question about Patriot America/Atlas America maximum coverage Hi there, I am looking for short-term insurance for my parents, and am thinking about getting a comprehensive plan of $100,000 for 5 months. A couple of questions: 1. the maximum $100,000 means maximum coverage for the entire 5 months? If that is the case, if i can start buying for 3 months, then renew for another 2 months, does the $100,000 get re-set after the initial 3 months? I ask this because i see "Maximums are per covered insured per certificate period" on plan summary and not sure what "certificate period" means. 2. Could you elaborate what is main difference between Patriot America and Atlas America? I noticed that Patriot America is a little cheaper, but has a 90/10 coinsurance for in-network first $5000 expense while Atlas America waives coinsurance. Is that the only main difference? Thanks!!

A:
Hello, 1. $100,000 would be a life time policy max. 2. Atlas America will also cover the acute on-set of a pre-existing condition up to $15,000 for anyone age 69 and below. Patriot America will not cover any pre-existing condition or any illness or medication related to a pre-existing condition. If you have any further questions please feel free to call.

Q:Medical insurance details needed I got your email from immihelp.com website. I am currently on H1 B visa working in Georgia state. My wife got the H4 visa and I am planning to get her here sometime in November 2011. currently she is 3 months pregnant and in India. I need to know the following if you can help 1. Is there any medical insurance plan that I can take that will cover for me and my wife on the whole 2. will it be able to cover the maternity expenses and child delivery etc. 3. If not available in USA is there anything you can advice which I can take in India right now and which I can use it even in USA like an international medical insurance. I saw some forums and found that no insurance covers you once you are pregnant. Please advise so that I can plan accordingly. thanks,

A:
Hello, If you currently have benefits through your employer it is advisable to add her to those. 1. The only way to cover both of you on the same policy would be to purchase a domestic insurance. In many cases she would not be eligible for 3 to 9 months depending on the plan. 2. We would not have any plan that covers maternity. 3. We cannot discuss and have no information on plans that we do not offer. In most cases, the only way to cover maternity is to use employee benefits. This, of course, will depend on the plan that the employer provides.

Q:Pre-existing conditions medical coverage Dear Insubuy, 1. How is PT/INR test covered? 2. If Self-Test equipment is purchased, will that be covered along with the doctor fees for the prescription unless Indian doctor prescription is honored. Regards

A:
Hello, There is no plan that will cover doctors visits, medication, or supplies related to the pre-existing condition. You would have to pay for that out of pocket.
