Q:If I enroll for Vision plan, Can I purchase a frame within the plan

A:
We do not offer a vision plan. There is a dental/vision discount plan but the discount on vision is minimal. Please see details for the Careington plan. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q: I am an international student here in the US and currently on OPT. My OPT will end on February 16, 2018. I am looking at ExchangeGuard insurance option in your website. My question is 1. Will this cover F1 student in OPT? 2. After my OPT, probably I will change my status to F2 dependent, what will happen to my insurance if that happen? 3. If I apply to permanent resident, will it cover during my application on pending (because it will take at least 1 year to approve)? 4. Can I add my US born child under my policy?

A:
ExchangeGuard can cover an F2 visa holder. However, if you apply for permanent residency, it will no longer cover you, beginning with the date you file for adjustment of status. If you do file for permanent residency, you can contact our office and we can go over other plan options for that status here in the U.S. There is not going to be a plan that will cover a U.S. citizen living here. Your child would be eligible for domestic insurance here in the United States as a U.S. citizen residing here. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I just purchase this insurance policy for a ski trip in Colorado. Just wanted to make sure that this covers ski accidents

A:
The Atlas America plan will cover new injuries and illnesses that should occur after the effective date of the policy. The Atlas America policy certificate wording states that: No coverage is provided for Snow Skiing and Snowboarding, except recreational downhill and/or cross country snow skiing or snowboarding (no cover provided while skiing away from prepared and marked in-bound territories and/or against the advice of the local ski school or local authoritative body). Should you have any questions or need further assistance of any kind please call our office. We would be happy to assist you, as we are your customer service representatives before, during, and after purchase.

Q:Is there an option to pay our premium on a monthly installment? Can we change fixed to comprehensive at the time of renewal?

A:
If you want to pay monthly then you would enter the dates for one month. Most plans have a $5 renewal fee each time you renew. It's not possible to change a plan on renewal. Instead you would purchase a new plan. For example, if you purchase Visitor Secure (fixed) and decide that you want a comprehensive plan later you would let the Visitor Secure plan expire and purchase the comprehensive plan. Keep in mind that if you have a fixed plan and something happens you would not be able to purchase the comprehensive plan at that time to cover the illness or injury that occurred.

We would be happy to assist you, as we are your customer service representatives before, during, and after purchase.
