Q:Questions regarding visitor insurance Hello, My parents are visiting USA. I'm looking for some visitors insurance for them. My dad is 70 & my mom is 59. I looked at your products. I'm looking for comprehensive plan. Which plan would you recommend? Though we are going to the provider from your providers list, what if they don't accept the insurance & ask us to pay upfront? That means, why are they in your providers list? If we want to buy the insurance for 3 months, then do we have to pay the whole premium at once? Can we pay on a monthly basis? If there's any claim within that 3 month period, will that claim be covered even after the plan expires? Do we have to inform you to cancel the insurance, even after the plan expires? What's the difference between seven corner plans, Trawick plans, hcc plans & IMG plans? Please provide all the information for my questions.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. 1. We would recommend the Safe Travels USA Comprehensive insurance plan for your father and the Patriot America Plus or Atlas America for your mother. 2. If the provider doesn’t bill the plan directly you can search for a different provider or pay out of pocket and file a claim for reimbursement. The in-network providers have agreed to negotiated rates. If you enter the dates for a period of three months then that is the amount you will pay for. 3. If you would like to purchase for one month enter the date for one month and then renew the policy. Whenever you renew the policy there will be some renewal fees. Most of the plans has $5 renewal fees. If new illness/injury occurs during the policy period and the claim is filed timely then yes the claim would still be processed. 4. You do not have to notify anyone to cancel if the plan expires. 5.IMG, HCC, and Seven Corners are the administrators for the different plans. They are all rated A or better with the AM Best. You can compare those plans at www.insubuy.com Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:J1/J2 health insurance I am a researcher faculty from India. As a part of Indo-US exchange program I will be visiting Florida for almost one year with J1 VISA. My wife is also accompanying me and she would have J2. Currently we are in process of VISA application. We have to choose health insurance schemes for the period of staying in US. Thing is that she is pregnant for one month now, so we can travel only around July and due to her pregnancy we have to carefully select the health insurance schemes. My question is here that whether you do have any such health insurance policy which covers maternity expenses including the delivery. In case of positive reply, kindly let me know what are the suitable schemes for such situation. I am waiting for your reply before further proceedings.

Thank you for contacting Insubuy. We are a broker, and offer all of the major plans on the market. We would be happy to recommend the appropriate plan, but we will need to know more information. Does your sponsoring organization have any insurance requirements? If so, can you please send them to us as a pdf attachment. You may also obtain a plan recommendation over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY. If you have any additional questions please let us know. Thank you for prompt reply. From the sponsoring agency there is no requirement until it fulfills the host institute's minimum coverage requirement. But for me this policy should be less than $1000 for our staying period in US which is almost a year. Till I do not know the institute coverage requirement in detail. But one point they informed that the deductible should not be more than $500. I am contacting the host institute for further details. I'll let you know the same at once I receive it. Please let me know what else information you need. We have many product that meets your school requirements. You can take either Atlas America or Patriot Exchange plan with $100k. Patriot Exchange brochure, instant purchase link, /patriot-exchange-program-insurance/ Atlas America brochure, instant purchase link, /atlasamerica-insurance/ You can find more plans at , /j1-visa-health-insurance/ Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. You need to purchase only Comprehensive plan. None of the fixed coverage plan meets your school requirements. Please contact us if you have any further questions. I have gone through the plans you suggested. I think you have missed our important requirement in the policies which I had mentioned in my first mail, "due to her pregnancy we have to carefully select the health insurance schemes. My question is here that whether you do have any such health insurance policy which covers maternity expenses including the delivery". Can you please suggest any policy which includes maternity and pregnancy related expenses at our current stage? I am eagerly waiting for your reply. If she is already pregnant. There is no insurance which covers maternity. You have to pay from your pocket which will be very expensive or you can purchase insurance from school which will be very expensive. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:I am a Chinese visiting scholar (J-VISA)studying at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I wrote this letter to seek your advice about appropriate health insurance plans for a new born child in US. My wife is going to deliver a baby next month, and we are considering to buy a new insurance for him. Currently, both my wife and I are covered by the insurance of Student Advantage Health Plan provided by International Medical Group, and it will cover the most part of our maternity cost. But since it is a travel insurance, it is only effective when the insured is out of his own country, so it can not cover our new born baby when he stays in America because he will be considered as a US citizen here. So current we are seeking for insurance plans which could cover the new born baby. I am not sure whether we should buy a short term or long term plan for him as we will stay here for 3 more months then go back to China. I would be very grateful if you could provide any information on appropriate long-term or short-term health insurance plans available in Massachusetts (Zip code 01002)or give us any advice or suggestions. Thank you and best wishes.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. The only available plans for a U.S. citizen is a domestic insurance plan. There is not a plan on the market that a child at that age can enroll into on their own. You will have to find a domestic insurance option that is available for your to enroll into generally from your university to have you child insured as we do not have any options. It is recommended that you check with your university to see if you have any domestic options available through them. If you need any further assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:As I have read through International Student Insurance Preferred plan, I noticed that contraceptive is also covered in the outpatient section. So I assumed that all types of contraceptive is covered, Am I correct?

A:
Contraceptives would be specifically prescription drug contraceptives. IUD, and Implants are considered to be procedural and would not be covered.
