Q:I want to get a quote for my husband and child. I am a Fulbright Scholar and they have J2 visa. - Medical benefits of at least $100,000 per accident or illness - Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000 - Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $50,000 - A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness. These are basic requirements that the insurance should cover. From your website I found, two different offer, one of them is "Visitor Secure" the other one "Atlas Essential America" I should choose the minimum cost for this. Can you say the Visitor Secure one also covered the above requirements or can you make any discount with Atlas Essential America. I want to choose Atlas if you can make anything with the price of it.

A:
You can purchase VisitorSecure or Atlas Essential America as they both meet the requirements listed. The premiums are governed by law so there are no discounts. You may purchase online using the links or over the phone by contacting our office at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:Could you explain to me what the "deductible" is? If I put it on 0, would that mean that option is not part of my plan anymore?

A:
Deductible is the amount you pay first before insurance pays anything. Your understanding is correct. If you choose $0 deductible then insurance will pay as per the schedule of benefits or coinsurance for the eligible expense depending on the type of plan you choose.
