Q:I am over 60. Searching for medical primary insurance that would cover covid. Traveling from US to Manchester UK

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. There would be no primary plan available which covers COVID-19. All the plans available would act as secondary. You may view the available plans that offer coverage for COVID-19 here. Keep in mind they will cover the new illnesses and injuries that manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy. They will not cover pre-existing conditions, preventative or routine care. Let us know if you have additional questions. Alternatively, you may call our office at (866) 467-8289 to speak with any of our licensed representatives.

Q:I need to find a health plan that is compliant with my schools requirements. As the plan being offered to me at the school, as a graduate student, is incredibly high. I have a list of waver requirements that I am to meet but first and foremost with the biggest requirement being that the plan I purchase has to be ACA compliant. I keep hitting stumbling blocks with insurance companies as whilst they are comparable, they are not ACA compliant. Is his something you can help me with?

A:
Unfortunately, we would be unable to offer such coverage as we do not provide ACA complaint insurance. You would need to either purchase through your university or through an entity that offers the coverage such as the state department of insurance in your state.

Q:My wife is on F2 visa, and we would like to purchase an insurance plan for her. We need the insurance plan to cover pre-natal and delivery costs.

A:
There are a few plans available that would offer coverage such as the Student Health Advantage Platinum plan or the Study USA plan, but the pregnancy must occur after the effective date of the policy and the F1 must also be insured under the plan plan. You may view and quote plans here. Keep in mind that if you are already pregnant there would not be a plan that would offer such coverage. Should you have additional questions regarding coverage you may also call our office at (866) 467-8289 to speak with any of our representatives.

Q:Did mistake while selecting the policy. Forgot to select Covid incuded

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. The Patriot America plan does not have coverage for COVID-19. If you would want that kind of coverage you would have to purchase a different plan. You may view the visitor insurance plans that offer coverage for COVID-19 here. Let us know if you have additional questions or need further assistance.

Q:I just bought a 1-year policy and now have read the fine print that says if I return to my country of origin during that year my policy is void. Is that true?

A:
If you are just planning to go back to your country for a short period and come back, you should look into 'Incidental home country coverage' at /patriot-america-platinum/travel-medical-insurance.pdf If you return back to your country and don't plan to come back, you can cancel the policy. You will get the refund for pro-rated duration minus $50 cancellation fee as long as no claims have been submitted. Please let us know if you have any questions.
