A:
We are sorry to hear that you are having claims problem. Please note that the visitors insurance plans exclude pre-existing conditions even if they occur first time and you didn't know about it. As long as the condition existed prior to the effective date of the policy, it would be excluded. Patriot America Plus covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions but it must all of sudden without any prior warning or symptoms and you must take treatment within the next 24 hours. More details at /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Please contact our office at (866) INSUBUY for more information. Thanks for your reply , I called your office and I am working with them. Thanks Bhanudas

Q:I am looking to purchase "Atlas Exchange-Choice" insurance. how much will atlas cover for prescription medication? I know it says on the website that "prescription drugs are covered like any other medical expense", but that does not tell me HOW much Atlas will pay for my prescriptions. I hope you can bring some light into the dark tunnel here.

A:
There isn't a fixed amount that the plan pays for prescriptions. It will pay either 100% or 80% of the URC charges up to the policy max for covered prescriptions depending on the coverage you choose.

Q:Hi, I am an international student in the US. I would like to purchase health insurance, I am training in MMA (at a local gym) so I want to know if there is any health insurance that covers that. I am busy most of the day so it's better if we contact through email, thank you.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Are you training in MMA to compete? If so, then plans generally will exclude coverage for that type of activity. How long have you been in the US, what insurance plan do you currently have, and does your university have any requirements that need to be met? You can also call our office for additional assistance.

Q:I would like to buy insurance for my mom who is visiting the U.S. shortly. I'm interested in the Atlas America Insurance plan. It has the geographic restriction that the applicant cannot be in New York at the time of purchasing the plan. Is it applicable to the insured (my mom) or for whom paying the plan (myself) Also is the stating date and ending date local time of travel or what time?

A:
The geographic restrictions will be for your mother. She cannot be physically located in the state of New York at the time of application. Policies will start and end in accordance with U.S. Eastern Time not the home country time.
