Q:Buy two visitors insurances I am thinking of buy two medical insurances for my Dad who is visiting me in the U.S? Is there any law against buying two different insurances? Thanks,

A:
There is no law that says you can't buy two insurance policies. However, the question is why you would like to do so? Well one covers pre-exisitng but its a fixed plan, but better to have that than not. The other would be a comprehensive plan which does not cover pre-existing at all in any form or shape, but works great for all other emergencies. OK. You can purchase the insurance online at https://www.insubuy.com

Q:questions about "Atlas America Hello, I'd like to ask you some questions about buying a visitor's insurance for my mom. She is going to visit us at the end of this month. So I'm doing some research now. I have some questions about "Atlas America" by this link: /atlas-america/visitor-medical-insurance/ What I don't understand are these words: A) Hospital room and board: does this mean the medical expense to stay in hospital? Is this the same meaning of in-patient expense? B) Hospital Indemnity: what does this mean? I guess it's like providing food and drink. What's the difference between A) and B)? C) Emergency medical evacuation: What does this mean? D) Emergency reunion: What does this mean? The difference with C) ? Thank you!

A:
A. Yes. B. Your guess is right. It is for incidental expenses other than the medical expenses. C. /visitor-health-insurance/#evacuation D. /visitor-health-insurance/#reunion

Q:Insurance representative in Morrocco Hi, I am writing to request more information regarding your company’s worldwide representation. I need to know if you have any company in Morocco that represent your firm. The reason why I ask this question, is because we often send students to go and get trained in the U.S and we want them to start having an insurance before they leave the country. For your information, Moroccans does not have an international credit card that they can use to purchase your insurance for example before they fly to the U.S. I am hoping you have a representative in place, who we have contact with and maybe set up a contract to get coverage for students and families during the time period they plan to stay in the U.S and get the payment done while in Morocco. Please let me know if you have questions and I appreciate your guidance in this matter.

A:
Unfortunately, we don't have a local representative in Morocco. Please note that even if there were a representative in Morocco, the payment would still need to be done in U.S. dollars. I am aware that many people in other countries don't have international credit cards. However, they may be able to use someone else's card and pay them. We can also accept the cashier's check or demand draft in U.S. dollars. However, we are able to help you with whatever you need from Plano, Texas, USA. If you could kindly let me know your requirements, I would be glad to offer you the insurance plan(s) that works the best for your needs.

Q:question regarding insurance Hi, I'm using insubuy.com to find health insurance for me and my family (J1 scholar). I was wondering why "Atlas America" does not appear on the J1/J1 search results? Are they missing some of the J1/J2 requirements? if yes, which ones? Thank you,

A:
We offer Atlas America plan at /atlasamerica-insurance/ but that does not meet the J-1 visa requirements specified by U.S. department of state, listed at /exchange-visitor-insurance/ Please note that J-1 visa requirements state that you must get at least $50,000 per accident or sickness. However, the policy maximum in Atlas America is life time policy maximum. That is, if you take $50,000 policy maximum, it would be $50,000 life time and not per accident or sickness, as requried by J1 visa requirements. I hope that clarfies. You can purchase J1 visa compliant insurance at /j1-visa-health-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:visitor's medical insurance Hope you are doing well. Looking for visitor's medical insurance for my Mother in Law. She turned seventy last month. We prefer the same insurance (Atlas America) which we had last time for her. However we were not able to find the same on your website. Please note that our nearest hospital is JFK hospital in Edison, NJ and her PCP was Dr. Hitesh Patel. Please let us know. Thanks,

A:
Atlas America is certainly available on our web site. I believe that you must have put the criteria which does not satisfy Atlas America and therefore, it might not be showing up. (Such as if the person is 70 and you want $100,000 or $500,000, Atlas America would not show up because the maximum available for 70+ is $50,000.) You can directly access Atlas America insurance at /atlasamerica-insurance/ Thanks for the response. Please let us know the maximum coverage available for a 70 year old person and how much it would be? Approx. travelling dates - July 28th, 2011 till December 11th, 2011. Thanks, Atlas America - $50,000 /atlasamerica-insurance/ International Major Medical - $250,000 /international-major-medical/travel-insurance/ Thanks. Worldmed - $150k ? Please let us know the premiums as well. Also let us know whether they cover Dr.'s and hospitals in Edison, NJ. Yes, WorldMed is $150k but make sure to read the restrictions in the certificate wording. You can find out the premiums for any plan by entering your information at / Please let us know which one will cover Dr.'s and hospitals in Edison, NJ, so that we can go ahead and register. Is Dr. Hitesh Patel in the providers list ? What policy maximum would you like to purchase and for how old person? Is it the same 70 years old person? Same person. Did not see that many options for 70 year old person. We would like to know which one will cover Dr.'s and hospitals in Edison, NJ, so that we can go ahead and register. Please let me know the policy maximum you would like to purchase: $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000? It will based on the provider network and Drs. in Edison, NJ. Does all of them have the same network and providers ? Any of them cover pre existing conditions ? No, different insurance plans participate in different PPO network. Please look at /visitor-insurance/ For all the plans that participate in the PPO network, there is a link called 'Provider Directory' next to it. You can search to find out the providers in your area . Please that cover pre-existing conditions in some form up to some extent are listed at /pre-existing-conditions-coverage-visitors-health-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions. Policy max - $100 - 129 Patriot America - Was unable to find Dr. Hitesh R. Patel. Diplomat Long term - No provider directory. Worldmed - Was able to find. But it's only accident coverage. Please let me know whether I am missing anything. Please note that even if some Dr is not in the network, you can still go to that Dr. Alternatively, I suggest that you contact the Dr and ask whether he participates in First Health PPO network or not. Otherwise, you can consider going to another doctor. The choices I told you are the only choices avialable in the market for age 70+ if you want $100,000 or more of comprehensive coverage.
