Q:I am an international student who recently graduated. Thus far, I have been on my university insurance -- which will soon expire. I am contacting you to ask about the best insurance plan for me. I am no longer eligible for a student plan (having graduated). But, as I am still waiting to hear back from the USCIS regarding my OPT application I am also not eligible for an employee or OPT plan (since I do not have my OPT form yet). From my perusal of the plan options, I need some form of short-term plan that is also ACA compliant (since I may have to remain on this plan for a month or two). So, I need short-term, ACA compliant insurance for someone on an F1 visa. Do you have any suggestions as to which plan is best for me?

A:
There is no short term ACA plan that exists. It's only long term plan. You can purchase OPT insurance from our website as long as you are on F1 visa. Those plans are not ACA Compliant plan. Please look at our OPT insurance section. Please enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side.

Q:I currently graduated from college as an international student and I am holding an F1 visa. I will start working with my OPT (Optional Practical Training) in August and I won't have an insurance for the first three months of my work. So I will need an insurance starting from now until the end of November. Which would be the ideal insurance for me? Thank You

A:
Please look at the plans in our OPT Insurance section. Once you enter in your specific information, it will give you all plans you would be eligible for in the state you are residing.

Q:I am wanting Medical Evac and repatriation insurance only for someone. He is 66, travels frequently and is interested in an annual plan if available. Could I get a quote for this? When I tried on the website I was only able to get a quote for three people not for an individual. He has good travel insurance and medical coverage. he travels internationally often. State of residence is New Mexico.

A:
There is not a stand alone plan for Medical Evacuation for travel outside USA. Instead he could purchase a medical plan with a high deductible that includes that benefit. You can choose a lower policy max with high deductible to lower the premium. Q: We are looking for Travel Medical Insurance covering Mt Kailash and Nepal. We went online and have received the quote. We have the following questions: 1. Can Indians purchase this insurance from India? 2. The countries list doesn't have Tibet where Mt Kailash is located. We have chosen China. Will this be OK for the coverage standpoint?

A:
Yes Indians purchase this insurance from India. Yes from a coverage standpoint putting a destination of China is fine even though you will be traveling to Tibet.

Q:Could you please direct me to the site where I can purchase travel/health insurance for expat United States citizens who are traveling to the U.S. I purchased a policy from you last year but can't seem to find the right place to click to get a policy quote. Attached is a copy of the policy card I received last year for your reference.

A:
The plan you previously had purchased was the Patriot America Plan. I have attached the link for the plan below for you to reference. You can purchase Patriot America. There is also a version of the plan that comes with an acute onset benefit for pre-existing conditions. If you are interested in purchasing the plan that includes those benefits, I have attached that plan version link below as well. You can purchase Patriot America Plus. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Hi, I'm unclear on this policy..would an immigrant to the USA who has a green card be eligible for this policy? What would be considered the home country? Thanks

A:
Based on the below information provided, if someone is a green card holder and residing primarily outside the U.S., visiting the U.S. for the 2-3 months at a time, they would be eligible for our plans for Visiting with green Card.
