Q:We are a group of students looking to buy overseas travel insurance. The University requires the following points to be met by the insurance that we travel with. Can you please let me know whether the above insurance meets the criteria mentioned below? And if it doesn't then can any customized plan be made to fulfill the criteria for us. Criteria: - The plan deductible is no more than $2,500 per insured per year or $500 per illness. The Insurance company must have a domicile in United States for at least 6 years. - The plan provides unlimited annual and lifetime benefits (i.e., no policy maximum). - Cannot exclude or limit coverage for pre-existing conditions. - The plan provides prescription drug coverage. - The plan must have 100% coverage for preventive care, including vaccinations, in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. - My plan provides coverage for both emergency and non-emergency inpatient and outpatient medical (laboratory, diagnostic services, primary and specialty care, and physical therapy included) and mental health care in Atlanta, GA or the surrounding areas. - The insurance plan must cover at least 75% of usual and customary charges in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas. The plan may not contain specific limitations for the treatment of medical conditions relative to standard hospital or outpatient care. For example, an insurance plan that has limited coverage of hospital room and board to $500 or limited coverage of ambulance costs to $350 would not be acceptable. - The insurance coverage is not through a medical cost sharing or co-op type program. - The plan has a U.S. based claim administrator, a U.S. telephone number and address for submission of claims, and the policy is issued in the U.S. - Oral contraceptives must be covered at 100% of usual and customary charges in the Atlanta, GA. area. - The insurance plan must cover both inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment and must cover treatment for substance abuse (both alcohol and drug abuse). - The plan must have a "medical evacuation to home country" benefit of at least $50,000 and a "repatriation of remains" benefit of at least $25,000. - Your insurance plan has an A.M. Best rating of A- or better

A:
Please be advised that we would be unable to offer a plan that would meet all the requirements for the insurance you are requesting. We would recommend seeing if the school offers a domestic plan that would be suitable or checking the students eligibility through the health care exchange.

Q:As I am interested in buying high limit accident insurance, I checked the application form and it is written clearly that the cover provided will not be greater than 10 times the annual income. But as I am a trainee pilot my annual income is approx $2570 USD which is very less. So are there any options by which I can increase the limit of the accident insurance? If yes then please explain. That will help me while filling the form. Also, Can I buy this Insurance now from my country (India)?

A:
The plan is only available at 10 times the annual income so there is no way to extend the coverage beyond that unfortunately. You will have to provide a U.S. address on the application in order to have a policy written. So you are free to apply as long as you are providing a U.S address.
