Q:I would like to know that how much is the emergency room co-payment and the urgent care center co-payment of the Safe Travel USA Cost Saver in cace of $100 deductible.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There is no concept of co-pay with this plan. You will pay out of pocket to meet the deductible and then the plan will pay 80% of covered medical expenses up to the first $5000 then the plan will pay 100% to policy max. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q:My wife, aged 53 years, is visiting US, from 28.6.2017 to 27.12.2017. She was treated for Follicular B Cell Lymphoma in throat and she is fully cured now. Her medical expenses were fully covered and paid under a Family Medical Insurance Policy. During her visit to US, if she is subject to any sudden set back on account of the disease earlier for which she was treated and cured, will her medical and hospitalization expenses covered under your insurance ? Kindly advise.

A:
In general, short term plan for an international visitor will cover any new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the eff. date of the policy. However, some plans provide coverage for an acute onset of pre-ex. Conditions. Please find more information at Visitor Insurance Acute Onset-of-pre-ex Conditions. But cancer is excluded in the majority of visitors policies because it is a chronic condition, one that never truly goes away. If any treatment was needed regarding her past cancer diagnosis or any new cancer diagnosis the likelihood is that it would not be covered in any visitor policy because it would have existed before the effective date of the policy whether known or unknown. Please visit our website and enter appropriate criteria. You will find many plans and you can also compare them side by side. If you send us more information like which state she needs coverage will be glad to send you quote by e-mail also. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:My wife is a new immigrant, she will enter the U.S with a visa but no greencard on hand yet, no SSN, just her Philippine passport and U.S immigrant visa. In the mean-time I would like to get her health coverage in California. We would like something that covers Emergency room visit, primary care visit and/or urgent care

A:
One plan we would recommend is from the short term domestic section of our website, National General. The medical plan will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date and is available for 3 months. Another plan that she will be eligible for is International Major Medical. You can review the different plans and determine which plan you prefer. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:In January 2017, I finally received my green card. This month, I got divorced from my wife (also a green card holder) and will lose my health insurance I had through her job at the end of June. I am self-employed. I am going back to my own country now, but will be back in mid-September 2017. I want to make sure that I can purchase health insurance to fulfill the Obamacare requirements, but I am not eligible for the CT marketplace, as I am a new green card holder. Are there any options for me ? Will I be able to purchase an Inbound immigrant insurance on this website in my situation when I am returning in September? If so, will that fulfill the Obamacare requirements? I would appreciate your advice.

A:
The plans that we offer in the New Immigrant section do not meet the ACA requirements. There will be a few plans that you can purchase but they will be available only until you are eligible to purchase a long term plan. These are short term plans that will cover new illnesses or Injuries that occur after the effective date. They do not cover pre-existing conditions so they do not meet the ACA requirements. There is one plan in the short term section, National General that you can purchase for 3 months at a time. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
