Q:1. Any limitation for a round trip from and to originating country to US ?2. core on medical coverage, inpatient and outpatient as well as covering COVID support ?3. big network for hospital and clinic, and with direct billing support ?4. plan for frequent traveler to US or standalone plan for a single trip to US?5. any non-deductiable option ?

A:
We offer travel medical plans including plans that include Covid 19 benefits, that can provide coverage to someone anywhere outside their home country. Plans will generally provide coverage for new illness, injury, or accident that did not exist before the effective date of the policy. Therefore, they will not cover for preventative care, routine maintenance or pre-existing conditions. As long as services are for a covered expense, this could cover inpatient or outpatient services. Direct billing would be up to the individual providers, however our plans do allow for direct billing. Most plans will give you different deductibles to choose from, including a $0 deductible option. Not sure what you mean by limitation for a round trip? Are you referring to maximum dates a plan can cover or possibly maximum coverage levels? Please advise. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Kindly note:I am moving permanently from New York to France on a Long-Stay Visa. The requirement is one year Schengen Insurance. I was told to purchase the Safe Travels Outbound Insurance plan (2X) two times for 180 days because I am from New York and there are restrictions. Why are there restrictions? Will this work for a year? The Consulate asks for: Travel health insurance certificate issued by the insurance company (covering any possible costs for medical repatriation, and emergency and/or hospital treatment, for a minimum amount of Euros 30,000, valid in France for the whole stay.Do you offer this Schengen Visa Insurance? Will I receive insurance that will be accepted by the French Consulate in New York? Thanks a lot.Marie Edwards

A:
You can purchase Beacon International Insurance for 364 days but this plan does not provide coverage for COVID. Once you establish your residence outside US, you have to purchase insurance from your residence country. You can also purchase Expatriate Health Insurance. Alternatively you can purchase Safe Travels Outbound insurance for 180 days and new insurance for another 180 days. You will have 2 separate certificate numbers. This is the same rule whether you are from New York or not.
