Q:I am still confused what is travel medical and travel insurance. If travel insurance is cheaper and with overall limit of 250K for medical, shouldn't I buy that instead of travel medical? I dont understand.

A:
There are 2 types of plans that we offer. Travel Medical Insurance and Trip Insurance. Non U.S. residents can purchase Travel Medical plans, and U.S. residents would be eligible for Travel Medical plans and also the Trip Insurance plans. Usually in almost all cases, Trip Insurance plans would be higher in cost as they are not only providing some amount of medical coverage on most of them, but you would also be insuring your non-refundable trip costs in case of trip cancellation. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:I am required to share the policy documents as proof at an institution where I'm going. How do I do that? I don't see any option to download anything nor are there any attachments in the e-mail I received.

A:
You should have received a confirmation email at the time of purchase advising how you can access your policy documents. If the institution has a waiver form, you can email that to info@insubuy.com, or if you have a specific document you are looking for with certain information, you can also make that request through info@insubuy.com as well. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:Any restrictions for Nigerians for visitors travel insurance to the USA if one bought coverage from your company?

A:
Some plans will have restrictions for Nigeria, but we would have some options available in most cases if you are referring to someone coming to the U.S. on a B2 visitor visa. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:I just purchased the International Major Medical insurance for my parents who are both over 60 years old. However I see in the certificate wording that for cardiac related conditions, the maximum eligible expense is 25000 (even though the policy maximum is 250000). If I would like to have a higher maximum for cardiac related emergencies, is buying multiple plans like described here (https://www.insubuy.com/high-policy-maximum-visitors-medical-insurance-for-seniors-visiting-the-usa/) an option?

A:
Be advised that the benefit you are referring to would have to be related to a new medical condition or an acute onset. I have listed our FAQ page regarding Acute onset benefits for you to review below: /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ We have one plan if the proposed insureds are elgible for the plan based on the eligbility requirements, that can provide some pre-existing condition benefits if they are fit to travel and not coming to the U.S. specifically for medical treatment. For someone who is 60 years old, it would provide a $25,000 benefit for pre-existing conditions with an individual $1500 deductible. It also has a 90 day minimum purchase and is not extendable. /visitors-protect-insurance/ Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:does insurance cover green card holder.?

A:
If the Green card holder is only visiting the U.S. for a short period of time, you can find plans that can provide some coverage here: /green-card-holders-visiting-usa-insurance/ Green card holders residing here should be eligible for domestic insurance in most cases. The Green card holder would need to apply for coverage through the Health Care Exchange in their state. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

Q:my policy is expired. i need new travel policy as i am travelling back on 20 feb 2023need travel insurance for 2 days.pls advice which one should i buy

A:
If you are referring to travel back to home country, you could most likely repurchase the same plan you had previously. However, without knowing which plan you previously had, we cannot advise. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
