Q:My family are planing to travel to US for a visit and we are considering to purchase your travel insurance. We have four basic questions before purchasing as follows: 1. Should we refer to the Brochure for all the details of insurance policy despite of plans we choose? 2. Is the benefit extension lasts for 90 days, which means if anything happens during the insured period, how long will the benefit last if the medical treatment takes longer than my insured period? 3. What is your renewal policy? Do you have minimum purchase period to offer renewal options? 4. Is it possible for us to renew the same insurance policy with the same price even if something already happens(e.g. already in hospital)? Thanks a lot in advance.

A:
1. Yes, we would recommend reviewing the brochure and certificate wording to know more information regarding your policy. You may also contact our office at (866) INSUBUY to speak with a licensed agent. 2. The benefit period will vary depending upon the plan you choose. We are a broker, and offer all of the major plans on the market. We will need to know which plan you are inquiring about in order to give you information regarding that plans benefit period. 3. Many of the plans on our website are renewable. Depending on the plan, you may have to purchase a minimum of 5 days to 1 month in order to have the ability to renew. Renewals can be done online or over the phone by contacting our office. You must also renew the policy before it expires. 4. As far as the pricing at the time of renewal, this is also dependent upon the plan you choose. Many plans will maintain the same price at the time of renewal with the additional of a $5.00 renewal fee. If you have any additional question please let us know. You may also contact our office directly at (866) INSUBUY.

Q:Maternity and Delivery coverage in the U.S. Hello, I am a Mexican citizen , im planning on getting pregnant and have my baby deliver in a Laredo Texas hospital since i dont trust the hospitals in my city, ive heard of health insurances that cover birth, do you have that kind coverage and if so, can i, as a non us citizen can have one? Thanks

A:
Hello, There are no plans on the market that are going to cover your pregnancy. If you want to have a baby in the United States you will have to pay for it out of pocket because no insurance will cover that for you. The only insurance that covers pregnancy is a Domestic plan and those are only available to residents and citizens of the USA.

Q:I'm interested in Atlas America insurance. Do you mail to that address the documents or do you mail me electronically? In other words, do you send documents that I have to sign/bring with me? In this case, I have to put my American address (probably work address).

A:
While purchasing Atlas America insurance you will have to answer one questions: Fulfillment: Select regular mail instead of online. If you select regular fulfillment then you will receive e-mail and plastic card by mail on whichever address you specify in the application. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Q:How can I know what will be covered by the insurance? I would like to buy an Inbound Guest policy but need some further explanation. Am I right in thinking that some of my pre-conditions would be defined to to be chronic, congenital or gradually worsens over time, and would not be covered by the policy. If so, would you please tell me which ones would not be covered and which would. I am right in thinking that those which would be covered would only be covered for life threatening emergency treatment which is difficult to understand. At present I am unable to judge what cover I would have for my pre-existing and will appreciate your help. For examples, if I had a heart attack would this be covered or excluded because of my controlled arrhythmia? Also, if I had a fall and damaged my lumbar region, would this not be covered because of my previous back surgery. I know you will appreciate my concerns and I look forward to a full encouraging reply so that I may soon buy the insurance. Best wishes

A:
It is not possible to go over each individual ailment and say what would or wouldn’t be covered as it there has been nothing that has happened to make a determination off of. It would all be determined at the time of the claim in the event of anything happening.
