Q:I have an unusual travel insurance question. I am an America citizen, but I am teaching in Zimbabwe for the next two years. So, currently, I am a temporary resident of Zimbabwe. Over Christmas, I will be hiking up Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is not mountain climbing. No ropes are involved or no specialized equipment. The highest point is 19,000 feet. I have international insurance through my school, but it does not cover high-altitude hikes. Unfortunately, many insurance companies don't cover hiking at high altitudes. Do you offer evacuation insurance at this height? Would I be eligible to purchase insurance since I am living in Zimbabwe, even though I'm a U.S. citizen?
