Q:I just went through the application process for the Diplomat America Plan for me, my wife and son. My son and I are U.S. citizens, and my wife is Korean. We are visiting the U.S. for a sabbatical that ends in January. I indicated that I was a U.S. citizen on the application and it was accepted, and my credit card was charged, and I was sent the policy info by email. However, my previous question about policy eligibility did not include the Diplomat America Plan. Is my plan complete and valid?

A:
If you are a US citizen visiting the United States with a primary residence outside of it, you may purchase the Diplomat America plan. Let us know if you have additional questions. You may call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:I and my son are both U.S. citizens, and my wife's citizenship is Korean. We reside in South Korea, but I am on a sabbatical until January in the United States. Which plans are we eligible to receive for all three of us?

A:
If your primary residence is outside the United States and you are within the US visiting you and your family may purchase the Patriot America Plus plan. The plan is designed to cover the new illnesses and injuries that are contracted after the effective date and will exclude the coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care. Should you have additional questions or need further assistance you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There are a few plans that are available for someone on a K1 visa that can be found in the Fiance Visa section of our website. Once there you will be able to view the applicable plans. We would also recommend calling our office at +1 (866) 467-8289 for a recommendation over the phone as some plans will not be applicable once a green card has been approved. Q:While in Costa Rica on vacation, I must take a Covid test and be found negative, in order to fly back to the US. In the unlikely event I test positive, I need to remain in country and quarantine, until I can test negative and return to the US. Does the policy cover the costs associated with my remaining in country, such as lodging, airline rebooking etc.?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. You may purchase COVID-19 travel insurance with quarantine coverage to provide reimbursement for the additional charges that may occur in the event you are forced to quarantine such as lodging, and accommodations. Q:Will this coverage work, even though the US has issued a Level 4 travel advisory (Do Not Travel) for Spain?

A:
There are numerous plans that will allow for coverage for COVID-19 the same as any other illness as long as it were to be contracted after the effective date. You may view the applicable plans in the COVID-19 Travel Medical Insurance section of our website. Should you have additional questions you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.

Q:Hello,I would like to ask if i can still qualify to purchase a Cancel for any reason insurance if I fully paid my airfare last 3/2021? I booked through a third party agent (cheapoair) and my ticket is non- refundable. But i would like to get refunded if anything happens, like the country of our destination (Philippines) is becoming MORE strict of their guidelines for Foreigners. And also the COVID situation got worse, compared to the time we booked our flight. Thank you.

A:
Unfortunately your initial trip deposit date would be too far out in the past to be eligible for Cancel for Any Reason insurance. Should you have additional questions you may also call our office at +1 (866) 467-8289.
