Q:I am looking for health insurance to buy for my parents who will visit the USA but stay for a few weeks. I have a question regarding patriot travel insurance. Is it health insurance? Is it eligible for green card holders who visit the USA for a few weeks? I want to find out the coverage limit for the person who is more than 70 years old but less than 75 years of age.

A:
Patriot America is an international travel medical insurance for persons traveling outside the country of residence. If your parents are greencard holders but primarily reside outside the US, and visiting the USA for a few weeks, they can purchase it. For 70-75 years age group, the limit is $50,000. You can find more information online at Patriot America Insurance and purchase it right there.

Q:Hi, I'm a small travel company that offers trips on vessels to Antarctica and I am looking for a plan that includes emergency evacuation insurance that covers all of my crew. We work in the Antarctica peninsula, based out of Ushuaia and Punta Arenas and every two weeks we pick up our passengers in King George Island. Our crew is a mix of nationalities, including British, German, French, Argentine, Uruguayan , and myself American. Our season is late October until late March, with the Antarctic bit during December - March

A:
We have a section for Marine Crew Health Insurance but those are annual plans. The other option would be to purchase individual plans from the Travel Outside USA section of our website for the duration needed. These plans will cover the insured outside of their home country. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:hi, I went to an ER a few weeks ago, due to the fact that i don't have any insurance the bill would be almost $5700. The staff there told me to get a health insurance for an international student. I'm wondering if i get an insurance right now, would my medical bill get much lower? Because they did tell me i could apply OOC with them which will bring the bill to around $800 but that's still quite a lot for barely did anything in the ER. Therefore, I'd like to know a plan that suits me and if that can affect on that medical bill before i receive it? If there's any plan that can cover dental and gynecologist? Thanks!

A:
Medical plans do not cover dental but a gynecologist could be covered if it's for a new illness or injury. If you are talking about an existing condition or a routine visit then they would not be covered under most plans.

Q:Hi there, I am in need of a plan that meets the follow criteria (below). I am an international student on an F-1 Visa studying in Colorado for the next 9 months. Does your plan have In-Network non-emergent care providers in the Denver metropolitan area (OR, in your local area for online-only students)? -Is your In-Network deductible less than or equal to $7,350/single or $14,700/family? -Does your plan have Mental Health parity (i.e. covers mental health as any other sickness)? Does your plan cover Preventative Care at 100% with no cost to the insured? Does your plan cover Pre-Existing Conditions? Maternity? Transgender Services? (If you answer "no" to any of the three questions, you must answer "no." Unless your policy specifically excludes transgender services in writing, your insurance will provide these services.) Does your plan cover prescriptions? Does your plan meet Minimum Essential Coverage as defined under the Affordable Care Act? Will your plan provide to you a 1095B indicating that you maintained and met the mandate for continuous coverage?
