Q:If we are quarantined for Covid, and have the 2000 max benefit, does the coverage include hotel and meal costs as well as testing costs

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. If you test positive for COVID-19 and are forced to quarantine you may file a claim using the trip delay benefit. This benefit is designed to reimburse the accommodation and meal expenses associated with the quarantine. In regards to the testing cost, the plan only provides coverage for testing that is medically necessary, and ordered by a physician. If the testing was done on an elective basis the plan will not provide coverage for the test.

Q:Hello, what type of documentation, if any, would I be required to submit in order to purchase visitors medical insurance (for e.g., Safe Travels USA Comprehensive) for my parents visiting the USA from India this summer? Or, would I only need to submit simple biographical details while filling out the application and provide a written declaration of any pre-existing conditions? Thank you for your assistance.

A:
Safe Travels USA Comprehensive insurance is a short term insurance so you don't need to provide any medical information. Insurance will pay for any new sickness, injuries or accidents which may occur after the effective date of the policy. It doesn't provide coverage for any routine maintenance for pre-existing or preventive care. However, insurance plan provides coverage for an acute onset of pre-existing conditions
